“Food will change your life.”
That’s our motto at AJM /Vision Educational Center.
Back in 2006, we started in Greenville, South Carolina. Two years later, the Lord gave us a vision to come home to Dillon—to help at-risk youth, to feed people, to serve.
We started small: Thanksgiving dinners for 100 people. Then 200. Then 400. A soup kitchen in 2015. Home-delivered meals for seniors and people with disabilities. Last year alone, we delivered 1.2 million meals across South Carolina.
We do more than food, too. SNAP for seniors and people with disabilities. Boxes of groceries for families in need. Medical-tailored meals for people with diabetes, heart conditions, and other health needs.
We even have a story of one client—he started at 392 pounds. After six months on our program, he was down to 253. His wife said the food changed his health and his life.
We partner with Walmart and Sam’s Club so nothing goes to waste. We bag up extras for giveaways. We cook five days a week. Hot meals. Fresh meals. Meals that change lives.
I grew up in Dillon and swore I was never coming back. But the Lord sent us home to turn a food desert into an oasis—and that’s what we’re doing.
