Community Church Family,
We want to make you aware of a recent phishing scam involving messages that may appear to come from Community Church or someone connected to the church.
Please disregard any message that asks you to:
Send money or make a financial contribution outside of our normal giving channels
Purchase gift cards or send gift card numbers
Open a suspicious or unexpected link/file
Provide personal, financial, or account information
Respond to an unusual request for immediate help or payment
Even if a message appears to come from a pastor, staff member, or someone you know at Community Church, please verify the request before taking action. Scammers can make emails and text messages look very legitimate.
If you receive something suspicious or simply aren’t sure whether a request is legitimate, don’t respond or click anything. Contact the Community Church office directly and we’ll be happy to help verify it.
