🐾 Rita's Rescue Needs Your Help to Stay Open 🐾
Many people don't realize that Rita's Rescue is run by just a mom, daughter, and a small group of dedicated volunteers. Every day, we pour our hearts, time, energy, and personal resources into saving animals that have nowhere else to go.
The truth is, we are doing everything we can to keep our doors open and continue helping animals in need. However, we are overwhelmed, stretched thin, and emotionally and financially drained. The need for rescue continues to grow, and we are struggling to keep up with the demands while many operational costs continue to come directly out of our own pockets.
We love what we do and remain committed to the animals who depend on us. But we cannot do it alone.
For Rita's Rescue to continue operating and helping animals in our community, raising sustainable funding has become critical. Because of this, we are looking to form a dedicated Fundraising Committee and are gauging interest from those who may be willing to step up and make a meaningful difference.
⚠️ Please note: This is not just a title or occasional volunteer opportunity. We are seeking individuals who can make a genuine commitment to the rescue and its future.
Committee expectations would include:
🐾 Attending one meeting per month (approximately 1.5 hours)
🐾 Actively helping identify and organize fundraising opportunities
🐾 Bringing fresh, realistic, and workable ideas to the table
🐾 Assisting with donation drives, sponsorships, grant opportunities, events, and community outreach
🐾 Following through on assigned committee responsibilities
🐾 Working collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to helping the rescue grow and remain financially sustainable
We understand that everyone's time is valuable, and there is absolutely no pressure to volunteer. However, we do need consistency, commitment, and reliable support from those who choose to join. The need is urgent, and the future of Rita's Rescue depends on our ability
