A huge thank you to the Fox Lane juniors who spent the day volunteering at MKES for the Suzanne Grant Foundation Volunteer Day! 🌿☀️

These students helped officially kick off MKESA’s Beautification Project by digging, planting, and working hard through the heat to help refresh our school grounds. Between lots of water breaks, air conditioning breaks, and plenty of laughs, they made a huge impact and brought such positive energy to the building.

It was especially sweet watching so many students reconnect with former teachers and administrators they hadn’t seen in years. 💛🦁

We are so grateful to the Suzanne Grant Foundation, the Fox Lane students, our parent volunteers, and everyone who helped facilitate this day.

¡Muchísimas gracias a los estudiantes de tercer año de Fox Lane que pasaron el día haciendo voluntariado en MKES durante el Día de Voluntariado de la Fundación Suzanne Grant! 🌿☀️

Estos estudiantes ayudaron oficialmente a dar inicio al Proyecto de Embellecimiento de MKESA, trabajando duro bajo el calor cavando, sembrando, y ayudando a renovar los jardines y espacios exteriores de nuestra escuela. Entre muchas pausas para tomar agua, descansar en el aire acondicionado y muchas risas, hicieron una gran diferencia y trajeron una energía increíble a nuestro campus.

También fue muy lindo ver a tantos estudiantes reencontrarse con maestros y administradores que tuvieron años atrás. 💛

Estamos profundamente agradecidos con la Fundación Suzanne Grant, los estudiantes de Fox Lane, los padres voluntarios, y todas las personas que ayudaron a hacer posible este día.

As the temperatures dip, please support this coat drive and holiday gift wrapping event which will benefit the community closets at MKES and FLMS. Thank you to Karine Patiño, Officer Ramirez, and the Guild of Mount Kisco at Free Mason’s Hall for your partnership and heart!

CALL TO ACTION: Eddie (Officer Ramirez) and I are coming together to celebrate our birthdays the way we know best, giving back! Please join us in supporting a very important cause. ✨ Our Mount Kisco community needs us—now more than ever. We are currently running low on essential winter items. Please consider donating if you’re able.

There are two Community Closets right here in Mount Kisco:

👶 MKES Kids Closet (infant – size 14/16, all kids’ shoes)
🧥 Fox Lane Middle School Adult Closet (all adult sizes)

They need our help!

Needed:
• Kids’ coats (all sizes)
• Hats & gloves
• Adult coats (men & women, all sizes)
• Adult clothing — especially size medium
• Sneakers (sizes 7–9)

📍 Drop-off at Freemasons Hall

Time: 12–5pm

💵 Monetary donations also welcome

✨ Holiday Giving Event

We’ll also be hosting a “Wrap Up the Holidays” gift-wrapping event, where volunteers will wrap your gifts for a small donation.

All proceeds will go directly toward supporting MKES’s Community Closet and the families it serves.

Your generosity helps keep our neighbors warm, supported, and uplifted during the winter months.

MKESA is the parent-teacher association of Mount Kisco Elementary
School, partnering with families and staff to enrich our children’s
education. Through fundraising, we support programs, materials, and
events that enhance learning and build school spirit—many of which
wouldn’t happen otherwise. All MKES families and staff are encouraged to get involved. Whether you have time, ideas, or talents to share, your participation matters.

MKESA is powered by volunteer-led committees and a steering
committee elected each May. Watch for volunteer opportunities and join
our meetings to connect and contribute. Scan the flyer code to join a committee and support your child’s educational experience!
