Many visitors are surprised to discover one of Merestead's most touching and unique features—a historic pet cemetery tucked quietly within the estate grounds.
🌳 Among the trees rest beloved companions whose lives brought joy to the family more than a century ago. Their small headstones, some dating back to 1901, stand as a beautiful reminder that love for our pets transcends generations.

Walking through this peaceful place, you can't help but feel connected to the people who called Merestead home long ago. The inscriptions tell stories of loyalty, friendship, loss, and the special bonds we share with the animals who become family.

🌿🏛️ A Magical Afternoon at Merestead 🏛️🌿
☀️ Croquet on the lawn.
🍋 Fresh lemonade.
🍪 Homemade cookies.
🎶 Live music filling the air.

Today, neighbors and Merestead friends from near and far gathered for an afternoon that reminded us why this special place matters so much.

A huge thank you to 🎸 Craig Sidley, whose wonderful live musical journey through 🌹 Grateful Dead, 🌈 Pink Floyd, 🎵 The Beatles, and classic rock favorites created the perfect soundtrack for a beautiful day on the grounds.

As guests strolled the lawns, shared stories, laughed with old friends, and made new ones, something special happened: the spirit of Merestead came alive once again. ❤️

🏰 Merestead is more than a historic manor.
It is a gathering place. A community treasure. A living piece of history in the heart of Mount Kisco.
