Our final Senior Spotlight features Perry Sullivan. Here is an excerpt from her letter to the choir:

I still remember Dr. Hurley telling us to project loud enough to “concern your parents”. I remember feeling excited about learning new music for the first time in a long time. I remember the day I got to come in to record my part for the assembled virtual chorus, and the night my family got to hear it. On a series of zoom calls, I had found more people with a genuine passion for music than I had found anywhere else. So, when my mom mentioned they were part of a larger choir that actually met in person, I wanted in.

Perry plans to attend college at Duke or the University of Georgia.

Our Spring Concert is nearly a week away! The concert will feature the Spivey Hall Young Artists, the Children’s Choir, and the Tour Choir in a program titled: Britten to Bluegrass featuring the Chuck Nation Band. Music will span from Britten’s Missa Brevis to bluegrass favorites and everything in between.

This cherished program is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Walter and Emilie Spivey Foundation and Clayton State University.
