We had runners of all ages last year, but what really surprised us were the amount of middle school-aged children who told us they'd never run a 5K before, but they wanted to run away from Zombies....This year's run is Saturday, October 10. Serving today with our friends and neighbors to help Glen Alpine Food Pantry distribute food. The Glen Alpine Food Pantry works to fight hunger in Glen Alpine and western Burke County by providing groceries and supplemental food to local families in need, relying heavily on volunteers, donations, and community partnerships. As an all-volunteer organization serving hundreds of families, the pantry has an ongoing need for both resources and helping hands. If you’re looking for something meaningful and rewarding to give back to the community, they need help every Tuesday.
