And this mission wouldn't be possible without our incredible community. Every donation, financial gift, volunteer hour, shared post, referral, and prayer helps us continue showing up for mamas when they need it most.

🪻 Hi, I’m Christie, the heart behind Common Thread Collaborative. 🤍

I wanted to take a moment to share a little of the why behind this mission.

More than 10 years ago, while I was in an abusive marriage, God placed a desire on my heart to someday help women who felt alone and overwhelmed. I didn’t know what that would look like, or even if I would make it through that season.

Years later, I became a single mom myself. I know what it feels like to try to hold everything together while making sure your children have what they need.

My journey has taken me through some beautiful and painful seasons leaving an unhealthy marriage, becoming a single mom, rebuilding my life, getting remarried, and experiencing the heartbreak of miscarriage.

Those experiences taught me just how much community, compassion, and simply having someone who will listen can mean.

That is the heart of Common Thread Collaborative.

We provide practical things like diapers, clothing, car seats, and food but it’s about so much more than the items.

I want every mama we serve to feel seen, heard, valued, and loved.

Because sometimes what someone needs most isn't another thing.

Sometimes they just need to know they aren't alone.

Our stories may look different, but there are threads that connect us all.

And I’m so grateful God allowed me to turn pieces of my story into a mission to help others. 🤍

This is Common Thread Collaborative.

🪻 At Common Thread Collaborative we believe in community not competition!

To keep our small storage space from overflowing every time we pick up donations and sort them they get separated in piles for different local organizations who have the same desire to serve our communities.

✨️ We have bags of stained and ripped clothing that go to the Kidney Foundation, bags of shoes, clothes, bedding, and towels that go Lydia's Loft, maternity clothing, formula, baby clothes, and more that go to our local pregnancy centers, and of course we always have plenty of items in stock here at CTC for our mamas!

The need for serving is so much bigger than just us so thank you to all the organizations who have taken the time to meet with us, collaborate with us, and share your heart with us! We appreciate what you are doing for our community! 🪻

🪻 Here is a little behind the scenes putting together a baby bundle for a new mama!

Before we get to have fun putting it together we first pick up, sort, clean, and oragnize all the donated items. Baby bundles may differ since we use the current on hand items as well as basing them on the list of needs we get from the mama.

🧸 We carefully select items that we feel would be meaningful but also practical based off the season, the age of the child, and the mamas current situation.

🎀 Then we get together things mama would need or things that may encourage her and help her feel loved. We do our best to include something with positive affirmations and a note of encouragement for her.

✨️ Once everything has been selected we then get to put it together! You may notice some second guessing in the video on how to place some items 😄 and honestly, presentation means a lot to us! We don't want to just throw everything in bag or box but rather we want our mamas know we care with these little details.

Help Us Create a Home for the Blessing Closet 🩷
We have a BIG dream for Common Thread Collaborative and we need our community to help make it happen! 🪻

We’re raising funds to secure a dedicated Blessing Closet space where local mamas can shop completely free for essential items their families need.

But this space will be more than a closet. It will also give us a place to:
✨ Offer essential items with dignity and choice
✨ Host educational and encouragement meetings for mamas
✨ Connect mothers with resources and community support
✨ Create a welcoming space where no mama feels alone

We believe when a community comes together, every mama should have a place to turn. 🤍
