We were honored to contribute to the Safety Town project led by the MPAC foundation. This incredible initiative will make a lasting difference by helping teach future generations the skills they need to stay safe, while creating a valuable resource for our local community and beyond. We’re grateful to play a small part in a project that will have such a meaningful impact for years to come.

Eyes open, and light on the gas. ⚠️💙

🚨 BACK TO SCHOOL MEANS SCHOOL ZONE SEASON

The Chief is talking school-zone safety with KOCO today, so naturally we went digging through last year’s numbers. 👀

And remember: these are only the violations we documented. (We will be looking to enforce these numbers more heavily this year.)

Here’s some simple math to jog that brain:

💨 62 excessive-speed violations
🚌 16 failing to stop for a school bus
🚸 6 failing to yield at a school-zone crosswalk/crossing guard

All equal BIG TICKETS. Slow down. Put the phone down. Watch for the kids.

School is back. School zones remain active the entire school day!! Act accordingly. 🎒🚸

We Need Your Help
💙 After 26 years of answering the call for others, we're asking our community to help answer the call for one of our own.

Lt. Terrance Coleman has faithfully served the Moore Police Department and the citizens of Moore for more than two decades. He's been a leader, a mentor, a friend, and someone who has dedicated his career to serving this community.

Today, Lt. Coleman is facing a battle that no one should have to fight alone. He has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), and as things have progressed, everyday tasks, including getting to medical appointments, have become increasingly difficult.

On behalf of the Moore Fraternal Order of Police, alongside Lt. Coleman's family, we are sharing their GoFundMe, which was launched to help purchase a wheelchair-accessible van, as well as transportation and other household needs. The van will allow him to safely travel to treatments and appointments and continue doing the things that keep him connected to the community he has served for 26 years.

If you're able, please consider donating or sharing the fundraiser. If you're not in a position to give, sharing the campaign or leaving a message of encouragement means more than you know.

Lt. Coleman has spent his career showing up for Moore in some of our most dire of times.

Now it's our turn to show up for him.
