The Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival Parade was Sunday, June 14th, and our Queen & Court really made a splash in their summer yellow gowns. It was a little chilly, but thankfully the rain ended before the parade began. Afterwards, the ladies had a great time visiting all the world-famous Frankenmuth attractions! Good times live on forever!

Congratulations going out to this HMHS graduate, Richard Cummings on being named winner of the Brad Thorsby Memorial Foundation Scholarship.

Scholarship Winner Spotlight: Richard Cummings

The Brad Thorsby Memorial Foundation is proud to recognize Richard as one of our 2026 Scholarship recipients!

Richard has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and dedication through athletics, academics, and community involvement. A three-year wrestling team captain, honor student, and dedicated volunteer, he has spent countless hours serving his community through food distribution programs, community cleanups, veterans' tributes, and local events.

In his scholarship essay, Richard reflected on how service and leadership opportunities have shaped his character and inspired his commitment to giving back. His dedication to helping others embodies the values that Brad Thorsby represented throughout his life.

This fall, Richard plans to attend Olivet University, where he will study Physical Education and Athletic Training while continuing his wrestling career.

Congratulations, Richard! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. We look forward to recognizing Richard at our 2nd Annual Brad Thorsby Memorial Foundation Golf Outing on September 27th, where he will be presented with his scholarship.

Our friends at Genesee County Animal Care are in need of canned food for the dogs. Can you help?

🚨 WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF CANNED FOOD FOR OUR SHELTER DOGS!

We often use wet food for enrichment exercises for our dogs as a method of releasing built up stress and tension. Enrichment is a must for the animals in our care.
