That special part of the season where we get to send a couple girls from each team to compete at MN Selects. All of these ladies exemplified great sportsmanship, being fantastic teammates, terrific leadership on and off the field, and so much more!!!

Monticello 8u-10u Softball Camp Recap 🥎

Today’s 8u-10u camp was all about growth and teamwork! Our young players continued to build a strong foundation by working hard on their throwing form, getting plenty of reps, and making key adjustments for both pitchers and catchers. It was awesome to see so much progress!

We also introduced base running, placing a big emphasis on proper form to set the stage for smart, aggressive play. Hitting made its debut in today’s session, with players getting plenty of swings in—thanks to the support of our high school friends. We worked on tee drills, front toss, and even got to hit on the varsity field, making it a memorable day for everyone.
To wrap things up, we had a thrilling base running relay that came down to the wire! Team Syd raced to victory in a close finish, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to cap off a fantastic day.

We’re so excited for the future of Monticello Softball and the amazing community we’re building!

What an awesome first day hosting the 8u & 10u Monticello High School Softball Clinic! 🥎

Today, our future stars focused on throwing mechanics, pitching, catching, and learned the fundamentals of infield and outfield skills. We wrapped up with some fun target games to help sharpen those overhand throws!

Great energy, lots of smiles, and tons of progress—can’t wait for day 2!

Monticello High School Softball Clinic: 8U & 10U 🥎

Join us for the Monticello High School Softball Clinic, designed specifically for 8U and 10U softball players! This exciting three-day camp is led by our Head Softball Coach, alongside current and former Monticello High School softball athletes, bringing top-level experience and enthusiasm to our community’s young players.

Throughout the clinic, participants will focus on building strong fundamentals in all areas of the game, including:
Throwing
Base Running
Defense
Hitting

In addition, the clinic will introduce the essential skills of pitching and catching, giving every player a well-rounded foundation.

We can’t wait to see you out on the field! Mark your calendars for August 11th–13th, from 5:30–7:30 PM at the Monticello High School Softball Fields.
