🍂 A Fall Festival Full of Fun at McGehee! 🍂

The McGehee Center was crawling with characters today as our little ones dressed up in festive costumes for a day filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fall fun! From showing off their creative outfits to enjoying special moments with friends and teachers, our children had a wonderful time making memories together.

At Head Start, we love creating opportunities for children to express themselves, build friendships, explore, and enjoy all the fun that learning and growing have to offer! ❤️🍁

🍂 It's Fall, Y'all! 🍁

Our staff and families at Dermott Head Start have been busy making October special! 💗

Families were invited to join us for our “I Pink You” Day in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our families showed their support by coming out to the center and helping their children create beautiful pink crafts. It was a wonderful opportunity to promote awareness, encourage family engagement, and celebrate the power of coming together for a meaningful cause. 🎀💕

This week, our Dermott Head Start staff also hosted a Fall Community Festival for the Dermott community! 🍁🎃 We are so thankful to all of the community members who donated, set up booths, and came out to be present at our event. Your generosity, time, and support helped make our Fall Community Festival a success! We truly appreciate everyone who helped bring our community together for a fun-filled celebration of the fall season. 🧡

At Dermott Head Start, we believe in building strong family connections, creating lasting memories, and making a positive impact in our community. Thank you to our amazing families, dedicated staff, and supportive community members for helping make these October activities so special!

🍂🍁 Pumpkin Patch Fun! 🎃

Our families at the Hamburg Head Start enjoyed a fun-filled trip to the pumpkin patch! From picking out pumpkins to enjoying the beautiful fall weather, our children and families had a wonderful time making memories.

Experiences like these are a great way to strengthen family connections, encourage exploration, and create lasting memories outside the classroom.

What an exciting week at our McGehee Center! ♥️♥️

Our students and families enjoyed a week filled with learning, fun, and family engagement!

🚒🔥 Our students learned valuable fire safety lessons to help them stay safe.

💙🩵 We also welcomed our amazing dads for our "Dad & Me Challenge!" This special activity was part of our ongoing efforts to promote fatherhood engagement and strengthen the bonds between fathers and their children.

We love creating meaningful opportunities for families to learn, grow, and make memories together! Thank you to all the dads who participated! 🩵💙

While you're here, learn more about our Head Start and Early Head Start programs. We currently have vacant enrollment slots, and our staff will be on-site to answer your questions and walk you through the application process.

Your child may be eligible if your family:
✅ Receives SNAP, TANF, or SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
✅ Has income at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level
✅ Is experiencing homelessness
✅ Has a child in foster care

We encourage families to stop by, pick up free children's clothing, and see if your child qualifies for our no-cost early childhood education program.
