MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Q***r Cinema Boot Camp is your monthly invitation to dive deeper into the stories, styles, and trailblazers that have shaped q***r and camp films throughout history. Curated by the brilliant Elizabeth Espinoza, this series is the essential film education needed to exist as a q***r person and learn the culture that we created.

Explore iconic camp classics, hidden gems, and conversation-starting stories that celebrate the richness of LGBTQ+ storytelling across generations and cultures.

Each screening is designed to spark connection and curiosity—and most films will be followed by a relaxed post-screening reception where you can share reactions, meet fellow film lovers, and keep the conversation going.

Whether you’re a longtime cinephile or just getting started with q***r cinema, this is your place to watch, learn, and build community—one powerful film at a time, presented in partnership with Q***r Impact and Reach Out.

Montclair Monthly Mixer is where community, conversation, and cocktails come together.

First mixer is planned for August 12th starting at 7PM, at The Pharmacie Bar, 398 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, then every 2nd Wednesday of each month thereafter.

Your $10 cover includes your first signature cocktail. Pay at the door or RSVP here. We accept cash or Zelle, so come prepared :)

Today’s Supreme Court ruling is a painful reminder that the fight for transgender equality is far from over.

By allowing states to exclude transgender girls and women from participating in school sports, the Court has reinforced a reality that too many transgender people already know: your rights can change depending on where you live.

But here in New Jersey, we are reminded that another path is possible. The passage of S2260 strengthens protections for transgender people seeking healthcare and for the providers who care for them. Together, these two developments reveal a truth we cannot ignore: equality is not inevitable. It is the result of people choosing courage over fear, inclusion over exclusion, and humanity over politics.

To every transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse person reading this: we see you. We value you. We love you. We believe your life, your identity, and your future matter. You deserve to participate in your community, access affirming healthcare, and move through the world without having to defend your existence.

The Pride Center of Montclair stands firmly with our transgender community. We will continue to advocate, educate, organize, and create spaces where transgender people are not simply welcomed, but celebrated, uplifted, and empowered to lead.

Our community has always moved forward because people refused to be silent in the face of injustice. Today is another reminder that the work continues.

What a beautiful way to close out Pride Month, with a screening of “Love, Simon”, in partnership with the Montclair Public Library.

Our hearts are full after being part of these special evenings. Seeing people of all ages, identities, and gender expressions come together to laugh, cry reflect, and simply be in community was a powerful reminder of why these spaces matter.

Pride isn’t just about celebration, it’s about belonging. It’s about creating spaces where people can show up exactly as they are, build meaningful connections, and know without question that they are seen, valued, and welcomed.

That’s where we come in.

At the Pride Center of Montclair, we believe community doesn’t end when the festival is over, or when Pride Month comes to a close. It lives on in every conversation, every program, every shared meal, every support group, every act of kindness, every grant, and every person who calls, emails, or texts us, and soon, to be walking through the community center doors looking for connection.

We are here to help foster a community where people can find friendship, support, resources, joy, and a true sense of home, not just in June, but every day of the year.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these evenings so meaningful.
