This week, we proudly recognize and celebrate the hard work, creativity, and invaluable contributions of our small businesses here in Montclair. From creating jobs and bringing fresh ideas to life to helping our city grow and thrive, entrepreneurs and small business owners make a difference every single day.

National Small Business Week is also a reminder to shop local because supporting our local businesses is one of the best investments we can make in our community. When you support Montclair’s small businesses, you’re investing in YOU! 😍

🎉 Celebrating 70 years of Montclair!

The City of Montclair proudly celebrates its 70th Anniversary, a milestone that honors generations of rich history, exciting achievements, and forward-looking vision.

On April 25, 1956, a small community of 8,008 residents across just 4.2 square miles incorporated as the City of Monte Vista. Two years later, voters chose a new name: Montclair… and a legacy was born. Seventy years on, that spirit of community and possibility still shines brighter than ever.

From orange groves and ranch houses, Montclair has blossomed into a thriving and diverse community offering beautiful homes, buzzing entertainment spaces, and promising commercial and transportation development. Shaped by innovation and fueled by the creativity and tenacity of the people who call it home, Montclair has grown into something truly special. Today, we honor that journey and the generations who have helped build Montclair into what it is today.

To mark this milestone, we are proud to introduce a special 70th Anniversary logo, a fresh new symbol of our shining spirit and the bright future ahead.

Thank you for being the heart of Montclair's story, past, present, and future. Here's to 70 more years! ✨
