🚚🥦 BIG NEWS FROM FOOD INITIATIVE! 🥦🚚

We’ve been working behind the scenes on something we’re incredibly excited to share with our community… we’re making some changes to our Mobile Food Pantry calendar! 🎉

Starting in October, Food Initiative will be bringing our Healthy Mobile Food Pantry to the community of Ceres! ❤️ We are so excited for this opportunity to expand our reach and make fresh, nutritious food more accessible to families who need it.

This is just the beginning, and we’ll be sharing more information soon, including dates, times, location, and how to access the pantry.

🍈 When a few hands can make a BIG difference! 🍈

This past Saturday was another amazing day of gleaning, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️

A huge thank you to Del Mar Farms for generously allowing us to come out and harvest melons. Your willingness to share your harvest with our community makes such a meaningful difference!

We also want to give a special shout-out to the Central Catholic students who came out and put in the hard work, as well as the incredible volunteers from our organization who joined us. 🙌

Unfortunately, we only had about five people able to make it out, but those five people proved that you don't need a huge crowd to make a huge impact! Together, we harvested an incredible 2,952 POUNDS of melons! 🍈🍈🍈

That food will now have the opportunity to reach families in our community who need it most. This is what community is all about, showing up, working together, and making sure good food doesn't go to waste.

Thank you, Del Mar Farms, Central Catholic, and every volunteer who gave their time and energy. We couldn't do this without you! ❤️

🍉 We Need YOU for a Gleaning Day! 🌱❤️

There’s something special about gathering food straight from the fields and knowing that what we pick will soon be on the tables of families in our community. Saturday, August 29th, we have an exciting gleaning project coming up, and we’d love for our community to join us!

We’ll be out picking fresh melons and could use some helping hands! Whether you’ve gleaned with us before or this would be your first time, we’d love to have you be part of the team. It’s a great way to give back, enjoy some time outdoors, and help us rescue fresh, nutritious food for families who need it. 🍈💚

Our market for tomorrow at Hanshaw Middle School has been canceled. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Our truck is in the shop getting repairs done.

Hello Friends,
Our Mobile Food Pantry at Kirschen Elementary tomorrow morning will be rescheduled due to the school having roundup.

We will do our Mobile Market in Oakdale at St. Matthias tomorrow afternoon from 3pm-4pm as normal.
