There have been scientific studies into the health benefits of not only owning a cat, but the benefits their purr can offer their human companions.
Studies show that a cat's purr releases endorphins within themselves and also their humans. This can decrease stress levels, assist with coping through an illness, and even lower blood pressure.

Wondering how you can help? We are always in need of the basics. CARE is so grateful to all the volunteers that keep HQ running; a major part of what keeps us going is donations.

If you are close to Mingus, feel free to drop off any donation at HQ (please set by the front door if no one is there). You can also shop our Amazon Wishlist. You can have the items shipped directly to us or shipped to you and dropped off at HQ anytime.
