International Day of the Girl is Sunday, October 11-and we’re celebrating girls across Delaware by shining a light on period poverty.

When period supplies are out of reach, girls can miss class, sports, activities, and opportunities. No girl should have to choose between managing her period and being fully present in her life.

As October begins, we’re kicking off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a simple truth: survivors deserve dignity essentials while rebuilding safety and stability. 💜

For survivors in Delaware shelters and survivor-serving programs, period products, bras, socks, and underwear are not extras: they’re essentials. And SNAP and WIC don’t cover them.

Every item is a reminder that survivors are seen, supported, and worthy of dignity. Thank you to the partners, volunteers, donors, and advocates helping make that possible. 💙

At the Delaware Dignity Project, we know that a well-fitting bra and comfortable undergarments are more than basics. They can support comfort, confidence, and dignity during difficult seasons of life.
