The agenda is jam packed! It’s impossible for me to elaborate since the commission STILL is not providing attachments. Mr Dixon stated several months back that (paraphrasing)he saw no reason why the public should have to wait for the full agenda & would work on it for next time.

🔵 *ANOTHER Salary ordinance.
🔵 Affordable Housing
🔵➡️➡️ Appointing a new judge. This is often standard . Just keep an eye out. The WHO can be the story.
🔵 an application for almost $400,000 in UEZ funds for cameras 📳 Items purchased with UEZ funds can ONLY be used in the Urban Enterprise ZONE
🔵 New trash 🗑️ and recycling ♻️ rules.
🔵 😳ANOTHER LAWSUIT? Millville Works I, LLC V. City Of Millville
🔵 😳 Appointing Hearing Officers (more than 1) For Pending Disciplinary Matter
🔵 Moving the UEZ funded clean team to Housing and Inspections Business Manager and Preserving Its Trash and Litter Removal Mission 😮⚠️😨 So many questions here. Millville doesn’t have a “Housing & Inspections Business Manager. Why move this program out from public property to public affairs when public affairs is so understaffed they are unable to do the import duties required❓ Is the city hiring ANOTHER NEW Admin position❓ Seems as though the focus is going to continue to create new administrative titles.

📣 SENIOR CITIZEN & DISABLED VETERAN 🇺🇸 HOMEOWNERS 🏡 WILL BE HIT THE HARDEST!
PUBLIC HEARING TO BOND $75,000 from the “SOLID WASTE UTILITY” (aka trash tax) TUESDAY 6PM 4th floor of City Hall
The commission is set to start using the new TRASH TAX as a new source of funds in ADDITION to your city tax.
The increase in the 2026 trash bill was just the start. Now they’re borrowing money and your trash bill will pay for their purchase.
Why this matters? - If you’re a senior or disabled veteran you get certain property tax benefits. Those benefits don’t apply to your utility bills. Increases to the trash hits you particularly hard.
Every property owner in Millville should be concerned. Remember, the trash utility is paid for by RESIDENTS!
NOT BUSINESSES
NOT APARTMENT COMPLEXES
The commission is attempting to buy a truck & bill it to your home’s trash bill! Businesses & Apartment Complexes will get the benefits of the purchase without having to pay their fair share.
Make your voices heard!
Attend Tuesday’s meeting & bring a friend! Call your commissioners & tell them not to use the solid waste utility as a new source to spend.

There will be several discussions-
>CRP SECOND amendment to their contract. If you haven’t been following this is a $10,000,000 land deal with the city that was expected to close in 2025. The commission is in a tough situation with this land deal. Phase II & III are contingent on the Nabb Ave extension being completed, which hasn’t even started. In addition this commission wiped out the city surplus & is desperate for cash.
>There will be discussions on the ordinances to be voted on Tuesday September 1st. Over $10,000,000 in bonds including one from the TRASH UTILITY!
⚠️ PAY ATTENTION‼️The trash utility is not paid for in your taxes. It is a separate bill and borrowing against it will be billed accordingly.
