A partial video clip of Fireworks display on Wednesday July 4th. Engine 1 was behind Ray's True Value, Engine 5 was near Lincoln Ave Ext., and Forestry 1 was in Windlw Field. No fires caused by the Fireworks.

Party City mulch fire

At 6:28 pm, Engine 1 responded to Party City at the Shoppes for a mulch fire. With Captain Newlands in command, they extinquished the fire. Video clip courtesy Frank Piscitelli.

6:22 am, an All Call was toned for wires arcing in a tree at the beginning of Auburn Road. Car 1 arrived and stood by waited for National Grid, holding all companies in quarters. National Grid arrived in short time and repaired the issue.

Day 2 of the fireworks was a success! Car 1, Car 5, Forestry 1, Engine 1 and Engine 5 worked tonight's display, with coverage from delivery to ignition again. A short video clip shown of the finale, from ground zero. The Millbury Fire Dept. is happy to help the Millbury Lions Club with such a popular event!

Short video clip by Andy Krumsiek at today's brush fire

This is a short video by Bob Silver today which shows Lt. Krumsiek performing a "Long Lug Out" drill. In the event a firefighter gets lost or disoriented, they can follow the hose line out (go in the correct direction and not follow it back into the fire) by feeling the lugs on the couplings with gloved hands and know the correct direction of the hose.
