started at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, watching the play in Zealand. Spain’s La Roja went on to win that World Cup. 🙌🏽

In honor of these two teams playing tonight in the USA we’re releasing the official trailer of our new film SHINING THROUGH.

This film tells the story of our special team’s brave journey to Spain in 2025, in the middle of fractured communities and deep political divides.

This film reminds all of us that there’s a place for everyone and hope will always shine through.

Comment RELEASE to be notified as soon as it’s available to stream online.

Really grateful for the forward thinking allies at Washington Youth Soccer and the Rave Foundation and Reign FC.

Also, stay tuned later today to watch for the first time ever here, the trailer for our new film, Shining Through. 👀

Way before the national team, Ruth was a bullied kid on free lunch, wearing hand-me-downs, raised by a single mom working two jobs. Her first team was the first place she ever felt accepted. “I could’ve gone good or bad” — Ruth shares that soccer is how she found joy.

One of the legendary 85er players, Denise, found great joy in how much joy her mom got from watching her play. 😊

Decades later, standing on the field as the Seattle Reign honored her team — flowers in hand, her son and granddaughter watching — she looked up and said it out loud:

“Mama, this is what it is. This is where you should’ve been, in Italy with me.”

Denise. A dog. And a dynasty.

The unlikely set of circumstances that catalyzed a soccer journey of resilience, belonging, and the beginning of the dynasty.
