Reporting back from Spaceport Midland, Texas! UBC Rocket achieved a nominal launch and recovery at the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC).

We hit some new records with Cloudburst being the team’s first successful minimum diameter rocket and fastest launch. But most of all, Cloudburst is the highest flying rocket in UBC Rocket history, 5000 feet above our previous record, surpassing the height of Mt. Everest, Cloudburst reached 31,851ft! 🏔️🚀☁️
