Back to school is not a given for every child. For children living through war, the end of summer doesn’t necessarily mean going back to the classroom, seeing their friends again, or opening a new schoolbook.

Sometimes, their school is damaged.
Sometimes, it’s gone.

But every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream about the future.

🧡 Help a child get back to school.

Today, we honor King Harald V of Norway and thank him for a lifetime of service. For his warmth, wisdom, and the way he made people feel seen. He reminded us that we belong to one another -and that no one should be left out.

Rest in peace, King Harald.🤍🕊️
Our thoughts are with Queen Sonja and the entire royal family.

The attacks on Ukraine continue, day after day.

For many children, this means air raid sirens, explosions, and fear no child should have to carry.

This is Stefan’s prayer ❤️

Today, we mark Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Freedom is a big word. For a child, it can mean something very simple:
Being free to play.
Laugh.
Learn.
Feel safe.
And dream freely.

Today, we stand with children and
families in Ukraine 💙💛

Play is not “just play.”
For children, play can provide an important space to explore, express themselves, connect with others, and take small breaks from difficult experiences.

After frightening or overwhelming experiences, words do not always come first. Sometimes, what a child needs most is time, a sense of safety, and the opportunity to simply be a child.

This does not mean that all play is a way of processing difficult experiences, or that adults should try to guide play in that direction. Sometimes, play is valuable simply because a child gets to play.

Make space. Follow the child’s lead. Let play be play.

Today, we mark World Humanitarian Day.
A day to recognize those who support people affected by conflict, disaster and crisis, and to remember those who have lost their lives while helping others.

Behind humanitarian work are courage, compassion, and the choice to show up when people need it most.

Today, we honour humanitarian workers around the world, those who continue to show up, day after day.

And we remember those who have lost their lives while helping others.

Eli is one of many children who have lost the opportunity to go to school.

Through local learning centres, children can have a safe place to learn, a warm meal, and the school supplies they need to continue their education.

For a child, this can mean the difference between putting their dreams on hold, and having the opportunity to keep building towards them.

If you’ve followed our campaign over the past few weeks, we hope there’s one thought you’ll take away:

No child should have to lose their future because war took away their school.

You can help give more children that opportunity back.

When we met Eli, he was at home in the middle of a school day.

We asked his grandmother why.
She told us that his school had been destroyed in a missile strike.

For four years, Eli has been without a place to learn.

Yet when we asked what he dreams of becoming, he answered without hesitation:

“I want to be a teacher.”

Four years without a classroom have not taken away Eli’s dreams for the future.

Today, we are sharing Eli’s story with our supporters.

We hope it serves as a reminder of one important thing:
War can take a child’s school. It doesn’t have to take their future.
