Hunger isn’t just an empty plate — it’s a barrier to dignity, health, and hope. This month, LPUF is calling our Midfield community to action. Every bag of groceries, every hour volunteered, and every voice raised for food justice moves us closer to a neighborhood where no one goes without.

This September, we invite you to:

Y’all, it’s hot out there — and we want to keep our His Table family safe while we serve. A few reminders for Wednesday:

🔥 Please don’t line up early — the heat is no joke, and we don’t want anyone waiting outside longer than they have to.
🧡 Check on your senior neighbors — a little kindness goes a long way today.
🛍️ Bring your own bags, boxes, or wagon to carry your groceries home.
🚻 No restrooms available on site.
🙏 One pass-through per family — trust that the Lord will provide.

What a beautiful and meaningful word you shared. Live your PURPOSE with intention, and guided by the Lord. 🙏❤️🍃

Deeper. Wider. Younger — together. 🌱

This Sunday, we watched that vision come alive right before our eyes. Randall Williams — born and raised right here in the Faith Church family — stood behind the pulpit and preached a word we won’t soon forget.

From Matthew 25:14, we were reminded that God entrusts each of us with gifts meant to be used, not buried. And from Jeremiah 1:4, we were reminded that before we were even formed, God already had a plan and a purpose for our lives.

Randall is living proof of both. A young man who grew up in these very pews, now called and equipped to lead. This is what it looks like when the next generation rises up to carry the church forward. 🙌🏾

🌱 UAB BCM Serving with Purpose 🌱

This week, UAB Baptist Campus Ministries showed up to be the hands and feet of Jesus — weeding, sorting, stocking shelves, serving. Grateful doesn’t cover it. 🙌

Sometimes we feel a lot like this sign — weathered, taped up, still standing after every storm that’s rolled through. 🌿

But look closer: it’s still up. Still pointing people toward help. Still doing exactly what it was put there to do.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” — Isaiah 40:29

The Leaf Pantry has had its share of beat-up seasons too. But God’s mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness has carried us through every one of them — one Wednesday market, one Saturday market, one neighbor at a time.

If you’re feeling worn down today, be encouraged: being weathered doesn’t mean you’re finished. It means you’re still standing, still serving, still showing up.

Next Thursday, September 3, the ARMS free health clinic will be at the Outreach Hub, with healthcare providers available from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and prescriptions delivered at 12:30. No appointment is needed. Thank you, , for providing this service for our community!
