Have you walked the story trail at Bull's Run Arboretum to enjoy "The Nature of Change" yet? If not, make sure to stop out before the end of the year! This story walk was installed thanks to the youth group at Monroe United Methodist Church and can be viewed along the Red Creekside trail.

We would love to hear your feedback about the story! Please share in the comments below, and feel free to include pictures of you and friends/family enjoying your time in the woods together!

What a lovely evening we had yesterday for our 2026 Annual Meeting! We appreciate all of our members and supporters who joined us to hear about the ongoing programs and projects at Bull's Run Arboretum, including Mayor Elizabeth Slamka! Having a strong, positive working relationship with the City of Middletown, Ohio - City Hall allows us to have the most impactful stewardship we can for this amazing green space in our city.

We also want to thank our speaker Sarah Meadows from the Ohio River Foundation for such a fun and informative talk about Ohio's freshwater mussels. The more we learn and understand about our natural environment, the better conservationists we can be! To learn more about Bull's Run and how you can get involved, please visit our website at www.bullsrun.org

Many hands make light work and can move mountains...of mulch! THANK YOU to all of the amazing volunteers who showed up yesterday to lend a hand keeping the trails at Bull's Run in top shape. From brand new faces to long term supporters, we mulched the entire red trail, and all of the memorial bench areas. Plus our youngest volunteer helped plant native seeds in the butterfly garden! Thanks to the Quick Family and Ted's Rental for the equipment, and to all of our mulch shovelers!

Please join us at our next park work day on Saturday, October 17th. Plus check out the progress on the bridge replacements! Despite weather delays and scheduling setbacks, the bridges are getting closer to completion. Thank you to Dappert Masonry for all the great work so far! The bridge improvements are made possible by a generous private donation, and grants from MetroParks of Butler County and Middletown Community Foundation. We are so grateful for the support!!

Break out the shovels and work gloves because we have a big volunteer park work day this Saturday! We will be moving the mulch from the front drive to spread along the trails to keep Bull's Run an accessible gem of nature for the community. We will also be doing a little re-grading to alleviate water wash out on a couple of the trail heads. So if you want to do some good while feeling good outdoors, please join us! Work days are 9:30a to 1p though this one may extend longer depending on the work load. Drop by for an hour or spend the day with us!
