Middlefield Lions Club

Middlefield Lions Club Founded in 1956, made up of Middlefield & surrounding residents looking to improve our community. And we have a lot of fun while we do this!

We provide local high school scholarships, eyeglasses for residents in need, fuel assistance through Mdfd Senior Center; we do local service projects, Shred-It events, sausage and pepper grinders at the Durham Fair; we help fund Liions International projects, Low Vision Center of CT, Fidelco, Lions Disaster Relief, local needs and many other worthy causes.

Yesterday a handful of Lions gathered to break down 16 Amazon boxes and spread their contents to various community programs. Most of our boxes of food, personal care supplies, and pet food were donated to Middlefield Senior & Social Services, several boxes of food and personal care items were brought to the Eddy shelter, two large boxes with maternity products, selfcare products, and clothing/shoes will be dropped off at the local Women’s shelter in Meriden, and the rest was split up for the library, school donations, park and rec, and other worthy places.
