Durham Middlefield Local Wellness Coalition DMLWC's mission is to reduce substance abuse in our community through community action, education, support, and collaboration.

We are a coalition of individuals who work and/or live in Durham or Middlefield. DMLWC members lead projects and programs for numerous initiatives which include the Community Round-up bringing hundreds of volunteers together to collect food items; EDGE Groups (Excellent Decisions Guiding Everyday) at Strong and CRHS, student lead programs that promotes healthy decisions among their peers; Go Fa

r, parenting workshops and initiatives; Youth Leadership opportunities, and more. DMLWC is continually open to new members interested in being active in our initiatives.

Today is National Drug Take Back Day! Dispose of your unwanted or unneeded drugs safely at the Durham Community Center and the Middlefield Community Center from 10-2. Get a free DETERRA drug disposal system when you drop off your medications.

What we CAN accept:
expired or unwanted prescription drugs,
OTC products (like aspirin or cough medicine)
vitamins
veterinary medicines
medicines with unreadable labels or unknown content.

What we CANNOT accept:
syringes
sharps
any other type of medical equipment or waste.
