Now accepting nominations for new members of the blessing box family!
Happy Sunday, y’all! I hope God blesses you and your family today and that this finds you content and well!
Many of you have been here since this business started during my daughter’s fight with brain cancer. But there are a lot of you that joined and began following at or around the time that our store opened this year. For those of you that are relatively new to this page, I have something to share with you.
I have always and WILL ALWAYS have one foot in the world of pediatric cancer. MANY of the families that I work with are either pediatric cancer families, or came to know me through a pediatric cancer family. It is no secret that helping those affected by this monstrosity of a disease is my primary focus. Cancer patients, in general, are people I care very much about & who the universe tends to draw close to me—but pediatric cancer sticks me right in my feels because of my direct relation and permanent tie to it.
Two scans ago, we were granted permission from our team at St Jude to share our topicals with other families to help the kids with pain/neuropathy issues.
It was then that I created the charity called The Blessing Box. The idea behind it was to find pediatric cancer families and donate our products to them, alongside other gifts and heartfelt, handmade items to make the lives that are forced upon these families a little easier to bare. It quickly took off and people began donating to help us keep it going. Now, I am a very faith based person and I have noticed that amazing things happen when I allow my faith to lead my decisions. Not long after we got the Blessing box up and off the ground, I was offered the storefront that I’ve opened and that quickly became successful as well. I truly believe this business has a divine protection and I know the reason its there is because I made a promise to God in prayer to help as many people as I could if He helped me to save my little girl. Here she is alive, cancer free and thriving and Im doing my best to make good on my promise. I also believe that us being blessed with the opportunity to open a physical store was the Lord rewarding us in His own way for the work we were doing in the world of pediatric cancer. It has taken about 6 months to establish a great rhythm and get things down in a routine and running smoothly to where my head doesn’t feel like it’s constantly spinning.
I feel led to put my focus and energy on The blessing box, once again. We have a very large reach on this page and the people who need us always seem to find us. So I am asking for your help finding some families that really need a blessing. If you know a pediatric cancer patient who struggles with pain, it would mean the world to me if you could tag them in the comments of this post. I also ask that you share this post to help expand our reach so that we may find the families who are truly in dire need of this blessing.
Our products, along with some extra special gifts will be sent to these families free of charge. No shipping charges—nothing. Just a blessing. Anyone who wishes to donate to The Blessing Box fund may do so anytime on our website & I will share that link in the comments. Right now, my interest isn’t in anyone donating but rather helping me to find the kids who are in need. Thank you all in advance for helping me locate these fanilies and I look forward to using the success of our business to foster hope in these overwhelmed mothers and fathers, bless others and create positive waves in the world of pediatric cancer, once again! Let’s help some sweet babies together!! Drop their pages in the comments!
