We are so proud of this! It’s still got some fine tuning to be done, but it’s AMAZING! We are so proud to have this available!

We can’t thank Jackson McCarter Wigginton for all he’s done to make this possible!

We’ve got several projects we are actively working on and plan to have accomplished by the 165th Battle of Shiloh-Into the Hornet’s Nest! I’ll post those soon!

🌟 Recognizing an Outstanding Young Man — Jackson McCarter Wiggington 🌟

We want to take a moment to recognize Jackson McCarter Wiggington and the tremendous contribution he has made to preserving the history of Michie and the Old Monterey Trail.

Jackson has been an incredible asset to our efforts. He created and designed the Old Monterey Trail website, has spent countless hours researching and helping preserve our local history, and has been willing to lend his knowledge and talents whenever we have needed him.

And now, while still a student, he has accomplished something truly remarkable—writing and publishing a 455-page book about Michie, Tennessee, documenting our community from its early settlement as Monterey through its Civil War history and beyond.

What makes this even more special is that Jackson isn’t simply studying history—he is helping preserve it for generations to come.

We are incredibly grateful for everything Jackson has done for the Old Monterey Trail and proud to see him receive the recognition he deserves. Young people like Jackson remind us that preserving our history isn’t only about remembering the past—it’s about making sure someone is there to carry it into the future.

Jackson, thank you for your dedication, your hard work, and for helping tell the story of Michie. We are proud to have you as part of the Old Monterey Trail!

And congratulations on the well-deserved feature in the Daily Corinthian!

If you’re interested in purchasing his book, please reach out to Jackson McCarter Wigginton.
