National Diaper Need Awareness Week is just four weeks away!

Diaper need is a very real issue impacting children and families in our community, and at HTC, we see firsthand how much a supply of diapers can mean to a family who is already struggling to make ends meet.

That’s why we’re getting ready for a full week of awareness, education, and action at HTC!

Throughout National Diaper Need Awareness Week, we’ll be sharing a series of posts to help explain what diaper need looks like, how it impacts families, and why access to diapers matters.

And we’re not stopping at social media! We’ll have fun activities happening in the building for our wonderfully dedicated volunteers, a diaper drive featuring coupons to shop Shop Hannah's, and on Saturday, September 12th, we’ll be rolling the dice at Bunco for Babies to help provide diapers and other essentials to local children and families in need.

There are lots of ways to get involved, and we can’t wait to share more with you over the next few weeks.

Wishlist Wednesday: ALL. OF. THE. THINGS. 💗

This week, our wish list is a little bit of everything - and every item helps us provide essential resources to local children and families in need.

We’re currently looking for:

Twin sheets & blankets
Full-size sheets & blankets
Large toddler blankets
Receiving blankets
Little girls’ shoes, sizes 1–13
Diapers, sizes 4 & 5

Whether you can donate one item or a whole carload, every donation makes a difference.

Our blue donation bins are open 24/7 at 2490 Technical Drive in Miamisburg, 45342.

Happy National Nonprofit Day! 💙

We’ve had some new faces join us lately, so today felt like the perfect opportunity to say hi and introduce ourselves!

We’re HTC Dayton, a children’s nonprofit based in Miamisburg, Ohio. We support local children and families in need by providing essential items through care packages, made possible through our network of community partner organizations.

But today isn’t just about introducing us. It’s about celebrating the incredible nonprofit community working to make a difference every day.

Kids helping kids. ❤️

A huge thank you to Kim and Boy Scout Troops 515 & 516 for donating rummage sale leftovers to HTC!

We received much-needed baby equipment, scooters, lots of books, toys, and more that will help us continue providing essential items to children and families in our community.

We are so grateful for your generosity and for the opportunity to give these items a second life with local kids who need them.

Thank you for being a wonderful example of kids helping kids and making a difference right here in our community!

Zoom in 👀 have you heard the news? We’re expanding - taking our treasures on the road to Antiques Village!

Our booth will bring more unique finds and more ways to support local children and families.

Items that are better suited for a purpose outside of our care packages can find a second life through Shop Hannah's - and 100% of the proceeds go right back to supporting our mission of enriching the lives of children and families in need (just like our store at 2490 Technical Drive)

New shop coming soon, and we hope to see you there!

It’s Wishlist Wednesday!

The things we ask for each week might seem simple, but they help families handle the everyday moments that matter - keeping a curious baby safe while they explore the big wide world around them, getting a little one to and from important appointments, making bath time safer, or helping a growing child stay secure in the car.

This week, we’re wishing for:

Baby gates
Single strollers
Baby bathtubs
Baby swings
Booster car seats with backs

We’re so grateful for the generosity of our community and the way you continue to show up for local families. Your donations help provide children with the basic essentials they need to be safe, cared for, and comfortable - and we couldn’t do it without you.

A huge thank you to MSD, INC for supporting HTC’s mission through a recent donation drive!

As part of their Give to Grow community involvement initiative, the MSD, Inc. team came together to collect donations for children and families served by HTC. Their generosity helped fill six carts full of clothing, toys, and other donated items that will help provide comfort, support, and care to local children in need. 🛒✨

We are so grateful for community partners who take the time to learn more about HTC, visit our space, and find meaningful ways to support the children and families we serve.
