HTC Dayton HTC is a children's basic needs bank located in Miamisburg, Ohio.

HTC, a respected children’s charity in Miamisburg, OH, enriches the lives of children in need throughout the Dayton region by providing clothing, books, safety equipment, and other essential items through partner agencies in southwest Ohio. Additional programs include Brighter Smiles dental kits, Beds for Babies, and Giving Angels holiday gift program. Opened 2021, Shop Hannah's is our onsite thrift store where all proceeds directly benefit the mission of HTC. Since 2001, HTC has maintained a warehouse of donated clothing, infant/toddler equipment, and other items to respond quickly to client requests. When a partner agency identifies a child in need, HTC provides essential items to the partner, which then delivers them to the child.

It may seem early to be thinking about holiday giving, but we promise it's not. HTC's holiday gift program, Giving Angels, needs time to prepare because this year we are serving more children than ever before.

With gift lists for nearly 1500 children, it will take the help of our entire community to deliver warmth and hope to those in need.

There are tons of ways to contribute to HTC's Giving Angels and our biggest need at the moment is family sponsors and tree hosts.

When you sponsor a family/child through Giving Angels, you are provided a wish list, then you get to go do the shopping. Items are collected and sorted by HTC volunteers and sent out to children just in time for the holidays!

🎁 It may seem a little early to start thinking about the holidays, but we’re already preparing - and this year, the need is greater than ever.

We’re getting ready to provide holiday care packages for approximately 1,400 children through our partner agencies, and we need Giving Angels to help make it possible.

When you sign up as a Giving Angels Sponsor, you’ll receive a list of needs and wants for a specific child. You’ll shop for those items and bring them to HTC, where our volunteers will turn your gifts into a holiday care package filled with a few extra surprises before it makes its way to the child through one of our partner agencies.

Money shouldn't be a barrier to connection.

Mom is working and does not have consistent childcare. She has two children an almost 5-year-old and a 1½-year-old. Her oldest child is nonverbal and autistic, and she would love to have a tablet to help her child communicate.

For families already navigating the everyday challenges of raising children, the cost of something that can help a child communicate can be an impossible barrier.

Every child deserves the opportunity to connect, communicate, and be understood - regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

That's why HTC works with community partners to help children get the items they need. Because when kids come first, money shouldn't stand between a child and the tools that help them thrive.

This week, we're looking for a few specific items to help keep our shelves stocked for kids and families who need them:

Adult small & medium clothing, especially athleisure wear
Adult boots — all sizes
Chapter books — all ages
Toys for older children

Across the country, diaper banks and their community partners work to make sure babies and young children have access to a basic necessity: clean diapers.
