HTC is a children's basic needs bank located in Miamisburg, Ohio.

HTC, a respected children’s charity in Miamisburg, OH, enriches the lives of children in need throughout the Dayton region by providing clothing, books, safety equipment, and other essential items through partner agencies in southwest Ohio. Additional programs include Brighter Smiles dental kits, Beds for Babies, and Giving Angels holiday gift program. Opened 2021, Shop Hannah's is our onsite thri

ft store where all proceeds directly benefit the mission of HTC. Since 2001, HTC has maintained a warehouse of donated clothing, infant/toddler equipment, and other items to respond quickly to client requests. When a partner agency identifies a child in need, HTC provides essential items to the partner, which then delivers them to the child.

Some moments just stop you in your tracks in the best possible way.

Yesterday, we had the absolute joy of welcoming Jessie Bloomberg and her parents as she delivered the results of her Eagle Scout project in support of HTC. What she brought wasn’t just a donation - it was care, effort, and a powerful reminder of what young leadership can look like in action.

Through her project, Jessie collected an incredible 590 bath towels and 670 wash cloths! Each one helping us provide comfort, dignity, and essential care to children and families in our community.

These aren’t just numbers to us. They are warm bath after hard days. Fresh starts. Restored dignity. Everyday essentials families shouldn’t have to go without.

Jessie, thank you for choosing HTC! Thank you for your time, your leadership, and your heart for service. And thank you to your family for supporting you in making something meaningful happen.

Our shelves are full and we are deeply grateful.

At HTC, we believe in children.

We believe every child deserves access to essential items, care, dignity, and support - regardless of their circumstances.

We believe every morning should start with a clean, comfortable, not holey pair of underwear.
We believe every child should have shoes that fit well and carry them confidently through their day.
We believe every child should be able to move comfortably, learn freely, and play fully - wherever their day takes them.

We believe that when children are given strong foundations, they are free to dream bigger, grow confidently, and become everything they are capable of being.

That’s why, at HTC, we focus on building strong foundations for every child.

Because children who feel supported can do amazing things.
They can overcome hardship.
They can discover their strengths.
They can grow into compassionate, resilient, extraordinary adults.

This week, we were honored to receive a donation of more than $5,000 from in support of HTC Dayton and our mission to enrich the lives of local children in need of essential items to survive and thrive. 💙

Their team continues to support our mission in meaningful ways through volunteering, generosity, and ongoing care for the children and families we serve.

Because of supporters like Yaskawa Motoman , HTC is able to provide diapers, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and other essential items to local children facing hardship right here in our community.

Thank you for your continued kindness, compassion, and commitment to helping local children and families. We are deeply appreciative of your support!

We’re open and our office dog Sparky is…. Apologizing in advance? 🐾

Judging by that face, we can only assume he’s committed at least one minor dog crime today already.

We’re here until 4… which is also the number of legs he’s using to stand firmly on his innocence.

Come shop and say hi to our very committed (and very suspicious) office dog. We promise he’s being supervised. Probably.

For most of us, putting on shoes is the last step before walking out the door. We slip them on without thinking twice before heading wherever the day takes us.

And our feet carry us through everything.
Long school days. Growing up. First jobs. Walking crowded hallways. Bus rides home. Gym class. Summer adventures with friends. They carry kids through some of the most important and formative moments of their lives - and they deserve protection, support, and comfort along the way.

But for many of the families we serve, replacing outgrown shoes isn’t simple. Children and teens are often wearing shoes long past their time because groceries, rent, childcare, and utilities have to come first.

And right now, some of our emptiest bins are our “big kid” sizes.

This Wish List Wednesday, we’re especially in need of:
Sneakers/gym shoes & sandals in youth sizes 1–7 and adult sizes commonly worn by teens

Many of the older children we serve wear the same shoe sizes as adults - and those are some of the hardest sizes for us to keep on our shelves.

Because every child deserves shoes that fit, support growing feet, and help them walk into school and summer feeling comfortable, confident, and cared for.
