We love this type of engagement in summer camps! Today our visit to Sunshine's Heart, Inc. in City of Miami Gardens, Florida was just as expected - buzzing with inquiry, creativity, and excitement to learn from both kids & staff. . 👏🏾😍

Stop #29 of with The Dennis Project, Inc.

The Jr. Engineers at Broward Gardens in Ft. Lauderdale are one of our favorite groups this summer! In our last workshop with the camp, they explored elastic energy systems, then built rubber band racers to take home. ⚙️🔩 🚗

In every workshop we hope the children are absorbing the information. But our team sits tall with pride in our review sessions when their hands fly up to answer questions with excitement and confidence. Not only have they learned STEM concepts, they've gained STEM confidence, resilience, collaboration and creativity. Mission Accomplished!! 😍👏🏾

With the help of our community partners, donors volunteers & supporters The Dennis Project, Inc.:

✅️ facilitated 60 workshops last school year 🔩🔬
✅️ 32 workshops over the summer ☀️
✅️ reached 1,905 youth and families - 600 more than last year 🔩🔬

We had a great time today at Broward Gardens Apts in City of Fort Lauderdale. The campers learned more about hydraulic energy systems then built one to "power" an Accordion Claw. ⚙️🔩💧🌊

The Jr. Engineers at The Faith Center VBS learned about engineering innovation. In Part 2 they were fascinated to see how devices they use every day have changed over time - thanks to an Engineer! ⚙️🔩 Then they built Snap Circuits projects that light up, make sounds, and move. They all were very impressive 👏🏾

Growing up, attending Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the summer.was exciting. So it was great to bring STEM to the campers in VBS at The Faith Center in Sunrise.

The Jr. Scientist did a variety of hands-on experiments to witness how matter changes, combines with other matter and how chemistry is used in every day life. 🔬🧪🧫
