President Donald Trump said Tuesday he is extending the ceasefire with Iran while maintaining a U.S. military blockade, citing divisions within Iran’s leadership and a request from Pakistani officials to allow more time for negotiations.

Today is Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. We honor those who sacrificed it all for Israel’s security and existence, as well as all those who have fallen victim to terror. We especially remember the lives lost in the tragedy of October 7th and the subsequent war that ensued.

Tonight marks the start of Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day. We join with the people of Israel and Jews around the world in remembering and honoring the 25,644 fallen soldiers and 5,313 civilian victims of terror who were killed while defending or living in the Jewish state.

Their sacrifice is woven into the story of an entire nation. May their memories be a blessing.
