The Metter Kiwanis Club recently welcomed Gabrielle Ivory, founder of The TSF Foundation | Together Supporting Families, as our guest speaker.

Gabrielle shared with our club how The TSF Foundation is making a difference by supporting families in her community during times of need. Her dedication to helping others and strengthening local families is a great example of what community service is all about.

We appreciate Gabrielle taking the time to visit with us and share the mission and impact of Together Supporting Families. Thank you for all you do to support your community!

Recently hired Candler County Recreation department director Logan McCullough spoke to the Metter Kiwanis Club at their June meeting held at the Metter Banking Company community room. The Club enjoyed a meal catered by Rolly’s Taqueria of Metter. During June and July, the Metter Kiwanis Club will meet only once to allow members time for the summer break. McCullough told the audience about his history in sports and recreation, his career history and his family. He outlined his vision for the recreation department including expanding activities to reach more members of the community as well as improving the overall facilities. He also announced the hiring of his assistant director Reco Coney. McCullough noted that they are busy working through the summer with All-Star teams and preparing for the Fall sports schedule. The next scheduled meeting for Metter Kiwanis Club will be held on July 8, 12:00 at the Metter Bank Community Room. The MHS Robotics team came and spoke on their recent region contest where they took home the 1st place trophy. They are now headed to the Worlds competition that will be held in Canada this summer. MHS FBLA members were the recent guest speakers at Metter Kiwanis. They spoke on their successful year and their upcoming trip to FBLA nationals that will be held in San Antonio Texas. Today the Metter Kiwanis Club’s guest speaker was Pastor Bo Fulginiti and shared a wonderful message to our mothers and members! It was a great message and we enjoyed sharing lunch with some of our favorite moms , spiritual moms and fellow Kiwanians . Great message Brother Bo may we all do better at being spiritual moms and dads to the upcoming generations!
