These are the candidates MPA endorsed for the Mesquite City Council Seat. A more inclusive group, younger group, diverse group with various skillsets. They part ways with the ole' pecking order of selecting; this move will give future servants a chance to serve.

The Mesquite Police Association PAC is pleased to announce our endorsements for the upcoming City of Council elections.

Our goal is to support candidates who demonstrate a commitment to fiscal responsibility, public safety, and policies that keep Mesquite moving forward as a great place to live, work, and play.

Our endorsements come only after all candidates have been afforded an opportunity to meet and speak with us about their concerns and our concerns for the City of Mesquite.

: The NAACP is suing Texas over a new electoral map that strips Black voters of their political power.

Filed with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, our lawsuit accuses Texas of racially motivated gerrymandering to silence Black communities ahead of next year's midterms.

“The state’s intent here is to reduce the members of Congress who represent Black communities, and that, in and of itself, is unconstitutional.” — Derrick Johnson
