One of our favorite parts of summer is when former student volunteers come visit us while they are home from college or grad school.

It means so much to us that students make time to say hi or volunteer. They often share that the Food Cupboard holds a special place in their hearts and that they love making a difference in our community.

This summer we had Emily Morgan, Sean Driscoll, and Billy Whitaker volunteer. Not only do we appreciate their help, but we also love spending time with such amazing young adults! Are you a former student volunteer - we’d love to see you too! 💙

As local students get ready to head back to the classroom, we want to thank some local schools who took some time this summer to support the Medfield Food Cupboard.

The Charles River School donated fresh produce grown in their school gardens. Lisa McLeod Balazs for delivering their amazing harvest!

Beginning Years held their annual lemonade stand to raise funds for the MFC. We can't think of a cuter and more delicious way to show support.

We appreciate those who help our local youth recognize the importance of supporting our neighbors in need. 💙

Food donations from our community help keep our shelves stocked all year round!

Rob and Will King recently dropped off a great donation of some of our most needed items.

Larry Kramer - a favorite local performer - made a large donation of honey and granola from the Medfield Community Market

Wishing Liana Dalton and her family all the best as they embark on new adventures that will take them away from Medfield.

Liana - and the whole Dalton family - John, Johnny, and Patrick - have dedicated countless volunteer hours over 26 years to the Medfield Food Cupboard. 26 years of service to our community!

Their kindness, hard work, and compassion made a true and meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. They represent the best of Medfield and we will miss them! 💙

We love summer because it means fresh produce from the Medfield Community Garden!

Thank you to Neal Sanders and all of the talented gardeners for sharing your bounty with our Medfield neighbors in need.💙

From Neal: “The Medfield Community Garden made its first delivery of the 2026 season…..The collection was long on leaf vegetables: lettuce, kale, chard and the like; and just a few early squash., plus onions, scallions and peas. Two weeks from today, there should be plenty of squash. By August, there will be flats of tomatoes.”

Today is the last day of school and we are wishing all of Medfield's students, teachers, and staff a fun summer!

We love the energy, enthusiasm, and spirit that our student volunteers bring to the Food Cupboard. Pictured are some students who recently helped out - from elementary student, Elliot, to middle schoolers Ellie, Drew, Michael, Gio, and Will, to high schoolers Riley, Catherine, Sam, Eva, Caitlin, and Olivia!.
