🎣 What an incredible day at the Wings Over Wisconsin - Wingettes Youth Fishing Pond opening! 🎣

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made the day such a success. We welcomed approximately 70 youth anglers to the pond, and the fish were biting! 🐟 Kids caught plenty of fish throughout the day, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

One of the highlights of the day was a banded bass being caught, earning the lucky angler a $50 prize generously donated by Joe Schulties! 🎉

We were also honored to have Larry Smith from Larry Smith Outdoors stop by to visit with attendees and support our youth fishing efforts. Thank you as well to the Rough Fish Assassins, MOHEE Touch of the Wild, Mayville Fire Dept, Mayville High School Fishing Team, our volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the event possible.

🌞 Don't forget! Our Summer Bundle Raffle is underway and will continue throughout the summer. With over $1,500 in prizes, every ticket purchased helps support pond maintenance and future improvements.

The Wings Over Wisconsin - Wingettes Youth Fishing Pond opens tomorrow, June 6th, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at May Park!

Bring the kids out for a fun-filled day featuring:
🐟 Free youth catch-and-release fishing
🌭 Free hot dog meal for youth participants
🎟️ Free youth raffle prizes
🏹 The Rough Fish Assassins introducing kids to bowfishing
📺 Larry Smith Outdoors on-site
🦌 Walk through the MOHEE Touch of the Wild trailer

⚠️ Construction Notice: Oak Street is currently under construction. Please use Walnut Street to Ruedebusch Avenue to access May Park and the fishing pond.

🚗 Parking is limited by the park, so please utilize side streets around the pond.

🎁 Youth raffle winners will be drawn at 2:00 PM. You do NOT need to be present to win!

🌞 SUMMER BUNDLE RAFFLE 🌞
We'll also be kicking off our Summer Bundle Raffle featuring over $1,500 in prizes!

All proceeds from this raffle will go directly toward pond upkeep and future improvements. Your support helps us keep this community resource open and thriving for years to come.

What an amazing day at the Wings Over Wisconsin Wingettes Youth Fishing Pond! 🎣

We had the pleasure of inviting the 5th grade class from Mayville Public School for a day filled with learning, fishing, and outdoor fun. The students rotated through several hands-on stations including:

• Casting practice with the Mayville High
School Fishing Team
• Fish cleaning demonstrations
• Fish Bingo
• Aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling with
Liz from the DNR
• Boating & Fishing Safety with Ryan from
the DNR

After a provided lunch (thanks to LeRoy Meats for helping provide lunch items), every student received a fishing pole and spent the afternoon fishing at the pond. The kids had an incredible time, with many of them catching multiple fish throughout the day! Seeing the smiles, excitement, and love for the outdoors reminds us why this project is so important. It’s amazing to watch our vision for the pond come to life and see youth enjoying it firsthand.

At this year's annual fundraising banquet, held April 21st at the Mayville Golf Course, we drew the winner of our Pallet of Beer/$800 raffle. Tom Dylak was our winner and he chose the $800. We congratulate Tom and appreciate everyone's support. The money raised goes towards maintenance of the Youth Fishing Pond.

We will be hosting our Pond Opening Event on Saturday, June 6th from 10am-2pm. The event features :

Our Wings Over Wisconsin Wingettes Banquet will be held on April 21st at The Meating Place/Mayville Golf Course. Registration is due April 12th. 📆 Ladies that attend our banquet eat an amazing Chicken🍗 and Steak 🥩Meal, along with going home with a guaranteed door prize. We will also have many other awesome prizes that attendees can try their luck at. 🍀 We appreciate our ladies' support at our annual banquet, it helps us to fund scholarships, send our youth and women to outdoor events, back our fishing pond in Mayville , and much more!
