🌽 It's FAIR WEEK in DeKalb County! 🌽

The fair is officially underway, and there's plenty happening the rest of the week! Whether you're cheering on our local 4-H & FFA youth, visiting with neighbors, or just looking for something fun to do, there's something for everyone.

📅 Today's Highlights (Wednesday, June 17):
🐔 5:00 PM – Poultry & Rabbit Show
📍 Livestock Pavilion

🐷 Thursday – Swine Show
🐑🐐 Friday – Sheep, Goat & Dog Shows
🚜 Saturday – Garden Tractor Pull

Here is the 2026 DeKalb County Fairbook this year. More fair information can be found by visiting the following webpage: https://sites.google.com/.../dekalb-county-fair-information Please also note that we WILL BE FOLLOWING the Missouri Department of Agriculture rules this year with Health Papers for Beef, Swine, Sheep, and Goats. Please be prepared for this at registration. We will also be offering Pre-Registration again this year closer to show time, be on the look out for these links in the coming month. A huge thank you to Tucker Construction for donating their time, materials, and hard work to build a beautiful new flower bed for the residents at Sunset Home after the recent storms caused damage to the previous one.

It’s always great to see Chamber members supporting our community!

A big thank you to Living Hope Food Pantry and Thrift Store & Mike Edwards with Ameren Missouri for helping provide 20 air conditioners to local families in need. Community partnerships like these make a real difference, especially during the summer months.

We are proud to have both Living Hope and Mike from Ameren as members of the Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce and appreciate their commitment to serving others. Thank you for making our community a better place!

This Saturday, June 6 from 8 to noon, residents of Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton or DeKalb County can safely dispose of household hazardous waste and/or electronic waste for free in Faucett. To schedule an appointment, please call 816-393-5250 or sign up online at https://www.regiondrecycling.com/index.php/disposals-calendar/household-hazardous-waste-ag-chemicals/.

Buchanan County collects hazardous household wastes and electronics for recycling! Household Hazardous Waste Collection is open the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month, May through October, from 8:00 am to Noon. Drop off at the Western District Barn at 51 SE Hausman Street, Faucett, MO.
