Miss Pam absolutely loves doing her yearly Back to School program, and our seniors always have such a wonderful time! ❤️

Today was filled with memories and laughter as everyone reminisced about their school days, shared stories, read poems, and tested their knowledge with some fun school-themed trivia.

It’s always so special hearing the memories from days gone by and seeing everyone enjoy a little trip down memory lane.

💚 A Bittersweet Goodbye 💚

Wednesday was a bittersweet day at the Masontown Senior Center as we said goodbye to our Nutritional Education Program. Sadly, due to a lack of funding, this wonderful program has come to an end.

It is always difficult to see great programs end because of funding, especially when they bring so much joy and valuable information to our seniors. Our seniors truly enjoyed participating in the program, learning about nutrition, and spending time together. 🥦🥕🍎

As a special parting gift, each senior received a cutting board and a vegetable scrubber to take home and put to good use. ❤️

We are so thankful for the time we had with this program and for everyone who helped make it possible. We will certainly miss it!

Here’s hoping funding will allow wonderful programs like this to return in the future.

Happy National Senior Citizens Day!

Today we celebrated with lots of smiles, laughter, and a great time together! A big thank-you to Pam for hosting such a wonderful event and, as always, for handing out those tasty treat bags!

🐾 A Special Visit from Canine Partners for Life! 🐾

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming Canine Partners for Life to the Masontown Senior Center! What a wonderful and special experience for our seniors. ❤️

They brought along two adorable service dogs who are currently in training. Both are beautiful Labs!

Our seniors absolutely loved meeting them, learning about their training, and seeing the amazing work these dogs are preparing to do. 🐕‍🦺

A huge thank you to Canine Partners for Life for spending time with us and sharing these incredible pups with our seniors. We are so grateful for the visit! 🐾❤️

Learning & Awareness 💜

Shannon from Domestic Violence stopped by the Masontown Senior Center today to spend some time with our seniors and talk about domestic violence awareness and safety. Our seniors learned a lot and had a great opportunity to ask questions and learn about available resources.

Everyone also received some nice freebies to take home! 🎁

Our seniors enjoyed a fun auction where they got to bid against each other. Posted are the items that they won.

There was plenty of laughter, excitement, and a little friendly competition. We love seeing our seniors having such a great time together!
