As many of you know, this year's event has been renamed the Southwestern PA Ducks Unlimited Zachary Wolfe Memorial Sporting Clay Event.

A few people have asked, so I wanted to clarify that this is still a Ducks Unlimited fundraiser, and all proceeds from the event will continue to support Ducks Unlimited's conservation mission just as they always have.

Renaming the shoot was our way of honoring Zach and the countless hours, energy, and passion he poured into this chapter over the years. There was no better way to remember him than by continuing an event that meant so much to him.

Our family has been overwhelmed by the support we've received, and we are incredibly grateful. Down the road, we may explore additional ways to honor Zach's memory, but those would be separate from this event and clearly communicated.

Thank you all for your continued support. We hope you'll join us on July 25th as we celebrate conservation, friendship, and the legacy Zach helped build.

Hi everyone, this is Sarah.

Many of you have already heard of the passing of my husband, Zachary Wolfe. For those who knew him, you know how much he loved the outdoors and this chapter. Ducks Unlimited was a big part of our lives.

Back in 2016, while I was working in the lamp room at the mine, Zach came through and broke the ice by asking if I wanted to buy a Ducks Unlimited calendar. I never actually bought the calendar 🤣, but the rest is history.

Since then, I've had the privilege of being part of this chapter alongside him. Over the years, I've enjoyed every clay shoot, committee meeting, banquet, and all the friendships that have come with them. We always took tremendous pride in what this chapter represented and what we were able to accomplish together. In 2020, we were honored to receive our Ducks Unlimited Life Sponsor pins - something that meant so much to both of us.

This year's Sporting Clay Shoot will be a lot different without Zach. He handled so much of the behind-the-scenes work, especially when it came to registrations and keeping everything organized. When Chuck asked me if I still wanted to have the shoot this year, I didn't even hesitate. I couldn't imagine not doing it.

I know Zachary will be with us the entire day.

I want to thank everyone who has supported our chapter over the years and especially those who have supported my family these past few weeks. The calls, messages, prayers, meals, donations, and countless acts of kindness have meant more than I can ever express.

As we continue preparing for our Annual Sporting Clay Shoot, please be patient with us as we work through some of the things Zach always handled so effortlessly. We're doing our best, and we're committed to making this year's event one that would make him proud.

In memory of Zachary, we will be extending Early Bird Registration through June 14.

Thank you all for being part of our Ducks Unlimited family. We look forward to seeing many familiar faces on July 25th as we celebrate conservation, friendship, and a chapter that meant so much to Zach.

Ducks Unlimited was founded in 1937 during the Dust Bowl, when severe drought caused North America’s waterfowl populations to decline to historic lows.

Rather than stand by and watch wetlands disappear, a small group of conservation-minded sportsmen came together with one goal: protect and restore critical habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife.

Nearly 90 years later, that mission continues today. Thanks to conservation efforts across North America, millions of acres of wetlands and wildlife habitat have been protected and restored for future generations.

Conservation matters - not just for ducks, but for clean water, flood protection, and healthy ecosystems for everyone.
