Kicking off November is Election Day, which is this Tuesday, from 7 AM to 8 PM. This will be your last chance if you were not able to vote early and if you intended to mail in your ballot, you will want to either drop if off at the designated drop boxes or pop into your polling location to do it in person.

For the rest of the month, be sure to pop in to the City Council meetings and School Board of Education meetings. As always, the information packets are available on their respective websites listed below:

Early voting has started and election day is coming up fast. If you are still needing to cast your ballot but looking for a bit more information on the candidates, take a moment to review the responses we have so far received from some of the City Council and Board of Education candidates.

October 12th is Indigenous Peoples' Day and is an opportunity to learn the substantial impact indigenous people have on Michigan's past, present, and future.

🌱 There are 12 federally recognized and 3 state recognized tribes in Michigan.

🌱 Michigan is a variant of the original Ojibwe word ᒥᓯᑲᒥ mishigami, meaning "large lake".

🌱 Mason residents can take a short trip to the Nokomis Center in Okemos or the Michigan History Center in downtown Lansing to learn more in person.

If you are are out, still waiting for the right time, or don't plan on it any time soon, know that you are valid and you belong; In Mason and and wherever your journey through life takes you!

October has arrived and it definitely feels like autumn out there. This month we will be busy with City Council meetings, Board of Education and their subcommittee meetings, and the November election is right around the corner!

Today is National Voter Registration Day!

It only takes a few minutes to make sure you are ready to vote on November 3rd:

🪪 Register to vote online at the Michigan Voter Information center;

📑 Double check your registration status and voting location;

📢 Talk to your neighbors and encourage them to do the same;

🚗 If you have the means, start planning to drive friends and family who may not have a way to get to the polls.
