Berkeley County 4-H STEM Berkeley County West Virginia 4-H STEM. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for members to participate in STEM activities. Robotics, rocketry, etc

Located in Martinsburg, WV, the Berkeley County 4-H STEM Program is an after school community program with multiple team awards in robotics, rocketry, and public speaking. Membership is offered to West Virginia Residents in grades three to twelve. The 4-H STEM Program promotes an applied sciences concept through Positive Youth Self Directed Development or “Learn by Doing”. This club helps to teach

students how to collaborate to solve problems, communicate results through a variety of online mediums and apply individual creativity and critical thinking skills, all of which are important skills for success in business. Club members participate in Robotics Design and Programming, Quad-Copter Engineering, Rocketry Development, 3D Design, and Printer Maintenance, as well as general Astronomy, and compete with First Lego League, Team America Rocketry Challenge, and regional SUMO Bot Challenges.

This time next week, the members of BC 4H LEGO Force will be wrapping up the opening ceremonies at The WAFFLE international FLL event in Worcester, Massachusetts. Competition begins the next morning. We are wishing them safe travels, and the best of luck. You've got this fellas!

Brady is a member of the FLL LEGO Force team that earned a coveted slot at the WAFFLE International Invitational this year in Massachusetts. He is very eager to learn and is a hard worker. Brady is kind and funny and supportive of his teammates. We are so glad that he has chosen our 4-H Club! 🍀 We hope he has the best birthday! 🎉 🎉

What a fabulous day, full of ups and downs, but totally a winner of a day! We competed in the Fayette Race Day, hosted by Pennsylvania 4-H - Fayette County. Jarrett Skahill was our master robotics guy! He had the only robot using the gyroscopic sensor!! Addie stepped up and stepped in like she had been doing robotics for years!! We couldn’t be more proud of them and how they represented the Berkeley County 4-H STEM Club-WalkerBots! They took 1st place in the Joust and 1st place with an alliance partner in the Dragon Corral!! HOW HOW🍀🍀. Shout out to AJ Skahill for bringing them and hanging for the day!
We ended our day visiting one of our own, Cory Miller and family in Morgantown.
