βœ… You must complete AH&QA training if:

πŸ„ Training is required for members enrolled in:
Beef, Dairy, Goats, Horse & Pony, Llamas, Poultry, Rabbits, Sheep, and Swine.

πŸ“š Program Levels
β€’ Junior (Ages 8–10): One general training module.

πŸ† Berkeley County 4-H State Fair Exhibit Selection πŸ†

We are excited to showcase the outstanding work of our Berkeley County 4-H members at the West Virginia State Fair this year!

If your indoor project is selected to represent Berkeley County, it will be identified with a purple sticker that reads "Selected for State Fair Exhibit" on Sunday during the Berkeley County Youth Fair.

πŸ“Œ If your project receives one of these stickers, you must confirm with Mikie Withrow or WVU Extension Intern Evelyn McPherson that you are allowing your project to be exhibited at the West Virginia State Fair. This can be done in person at the fair, or my emailing Mikie at [email protected]

⏰ Confirmation must be received by Monday at 10:00 p.m.

If we do not receive your confirmation by the deadline, your project may not be able to advance to the State Fair.

Congratulations to all of our exhibitors on your hard work, and thank you for helping us showcase the incredible talents of Berkeley County 4-H members across the state! πŸ’šπŸ€

πŸŒ‘οΈπŸ„πŸ–πŸπŸ‘ Heat can take a toll on your 4-H project animals!

As temperatures rise, remember to:
πŸ’§ Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.
πŸŒ… Exercise only in the early morning or late evening.
🌳 Provide plenty of shade and airflow.
🚨 Watch for signs of heat stress, including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, loss of appetite, or staggering.

A little extra care now can make all the difference in keeping your livestock healthy and show-ready. Stay safe, stay cool, and take care of your projects! πŸ€
