🌲 First Time Camper Orientation 🌲

Join us on May 16th at 3:00 PM for our First Time Camper Orientation! This is a great opportunity for campers and parents to explore camp before the big week begins.

During orientation, counselors will lead groups around camp so families can:
🏕️ See the cabins and activity areas
❓ Ask questions about camp life and schedules
😊 Help first-time campers feel comfortable and excited before arriving for camp

This event is open to campers of ALL ages who will be attending camp this year as a first-year camper!

💚 We Need Your Support for the Tri-County Older Service Project! 💚

As we prepare for another incredible year of camp, our older campers and teen leaders are once again stepping up in a big way through the Tri-County Older Service Project. These youth are planning meaningful, hands-on service projects that will directly impact children, families, and communities across our region.

This year’s projects include:

• Project Linus – Targeting 50 handmade blankets for children in need
• Neurodivergent Support Bags – 24 sets of crisis-response bags for youth
• Camp Welcome Sign Refurbishment – Restoring one of our most iconic camp landmarks
• Feminine Hygiene Kits – 300 kits for distribution to local schools
• Shelf-Stable Meal Kits – 300 meal kits for local food pantries and community food boxes

To make these projects possible, we are seeking donations of supplies and financial support. Many needed items can be purchased directly through our Amazon wish list and shipped straight to our office for convenience.

It is time to request tags for market livestock at the 2026 WV State Fair. Please use the form below to request tags for youth projects, and complete by May 8. Youth can bring a maximum of 2 hogs, 3 goats, and 3 lambs to the state fair. PLEASE ONLY REQUEST TAGS FOR THE NUMBER OF LIVESTOCK YOU ARE PLANNING TO BRING TO THE STATE FAIR. New state Fair guidelines require tagging to be done in person. More details about the date and time for tagging these animals will come at a later date. All livestock must follow ownership guidelines of June 10. Tagging is the first step of registering to exhibit at the state fair. You must also register online between May 27 and July 18, at https://statefairofwv.com/livestock-competitions/

Prospect/feeder calves will also need to be tagged this year. You may utilize the same form to request tags for these calves.

If your child is interested in attending camp this summer, now is the time to register! We only have a few spots remaining for both Older and Intermediate Camp, and registrations will officially close Wednesday at Noon. ⏰🍀

💚🍀 Berkeley County 4-H STEM Club – WalkerBots’ LEGO League Ladies! 🍀💚

This is what 4-H is all about! The FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Coopertition Award honors teams that lead with teamwork, respect, and a true spirit of helping others, proving that we can lift each other up while still striving for excellence. That powerful idea of “coopertition” reflects the very heart of 4-H: learning, growing, and succeeding together. 🤝✨

Out of teams from across the globe, they were ONE of only THREE recipients, standing proudly alongside two international teams! 🌍🌟

💚 We are incredibly proud of these amazing 4-H youth for representing Berkeley County and the 4-H mission with such integrity, leadership, and heart. Their hard work shows that 4-H’ers are truly making the best better! 🍀👏
