RES SUCCESS programs are designed to achieve the individual aspirations of each participant, providing participants the opportunity to become productive members of the community and local social network. Through community integration and education, participants gain a level of independence and self-worth, thus contributing to self-satisfaction in personal and social endeavors throughout all aspect
s of their lives. The program operates on the principles of meaningful activities that are goal-oriented and purpose-based. RES supports participants in developing a strong sense of self, believing in themselves, developing communication skills, maximizing relationships with peers and family, and helping to increase their interests in recreational activities, education, vocational pursuits, as well as the arts. In the development of the whole person, the participants discover who they are and how they can live to be increasingly successful in their relationships and their community. To accomplish these pursuits, we accept the responsibility for the utilization of appropriate teaching methods and the opportunities for the attainment of skills. As such, the potential for social development, cognitive enhancement, and quality of life improvement must be present before maladaptive behaviors can be supplemented with adaptive ones. RES’ Clinical Department provides an in-depth assessment and analysis of self-regulation skills (or lack thereof) and social skills, to determine the function of presented behaviors and establish replacement behaviors when necessary. Once this assessment is complete, an intervention plan is developed which includes but is not limited to enhancing communication, stress management skills, enrichment activities, relationship building, meaningful academics, and vocational work/volunteer work. RES provides in-depth employee training so that the proper methods can be employed for teaching self-regulation and providing purpose-based services. As we support each participant to achieve emotional self-regulation and enhance communication skills, he/she will progress toward his/her highest level of independence and self-actualization.
