Local ordinances are one answer to protect communities against aggressive federal immigration enforcement tactics. That is why we’re calling for the Board of Supervisors’ Equity Committee to finalize and pass a strong, enforceable ICE non-cooperation ordinance with full protections.

Communities and Workers Demand: JUST SAY NO TO AUTHORITARIANISM IN CONTRA COSTA!

Tuesday, August 12 at 9:00 AM, we return to the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors for the Sheriff’s oversight presentation to make one thing clear:
We reject any and all collusion with ICE, and demand the supervisors say NO to authoritarianism in Contra Costa County.

Despite overwhelming, heartfelt testimony during the July 22 TRUTH Act Forum, the Sheriff made it clear: he is choosing to continue collaborating with ICE. That means our neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones remain at risk of detention and deportation—even after serving time or being cleared of charges.

This isn’t just bad policy—it’s cruelty. And it’s happening right here in our county.

Let’s flood the chambers and continue to demand a real, loophole-free non-cooperation ordinance that ends Contra Costa’s role in deportations—once and for all.

📍 ACTION DETAILS
📅 What: Rally + Public Action to Say No To Authoritarianism in Contra Costa
📍 Where: 1025 Escobar St, Martinez, CA 94553

Trabajadores y comunidades exigen: ¡SIMPLEMENTE DIGA NO AL AUTORITARISMO EN CONTRA COSTA!
