For 20 years, the Molly Walk has been a cherished Father’s Day tradition for so many in Marshfield. Through rain and shine, our community has come together year after year to celebrate Molly’s life, share meaningful time with one another, and raise funds to support all that the Molly Fitzgerald Memorial Fund does in Molly’s memory. We cannot thank you enough for your years of sponsorship and for spending your Father’s Day mornings with us. We are truly humbled by your generosity and unwavering support.
We have always been amazed by the number of people who participate in the Molly Walk and, frankly, overwhelmed that so many of you return year after year. Hundreds of people continue to join us for every Walk. All too often, events like ours fade over time as interest wanes, but that has never been the case with the Molly Walk. Thank you for your enduring commitment to our mission of making Marshfield a better place.
But for everything there is a season, and we have decided that 2026 - our twentieth year - will be the final Molly Walk. This has not been an easy decision. We have loved organizing the Molly Walk, but it has also been emotionally challenging for the family, and the time has come to close out what has truly been an epic run. We appreciate each and every one of you more than words can say. The love and care you have shown the Molly Fund is beyond measure.
While this is the end of the Molly Walk, it is not the end of the Molly Fund. Our mission of serving Marshfield will continue as strong as ever, and there is still so much to do! Our scholarships, Dandelion Park maintenance, and beloved events like Molly Movie Mania, the Pumpkin Carving and the Tree Lighting will carry on. Our support for community programs like the Food Pantry, Community Christmas, Sowing Seeds and the Boys & Girls Club will continue as well. We will still be reaching out for your support, and we will continue to make every dollar we give back to Marshfield count. The Molly Fund lives on!
As we prepare for the final Walk, we would love to celebrate the memories that have made these past 20 years so special. If you have photos from past Molly Walks or favorite Molly Fund moments, please send them to [email protected] for us to share during the event.
We hope to see you on Father’s Day morning as we come together for one last Molly Walk -Sunday, June 21 at Marshfield High School at 8:00 AM!
