Marshall Public Library to Move Forward with Building Plans

MARSHALL, Mo. — Following the stipulated judgment issued September 21, 2026, in Jessica A. Goodman v. Saline County Commission et al., Marshall Public Library will now move forward with plans to renovate and relocate to its new location.

The Library will provide periodic updates as work progresses and project details are determined.

Our Mahjong lessons were such a hit that we’re keeping the tiles clicking! Join us for our new Mahjong Club, with regular monthly opportunities to play, practice, and enjoy the game with fellow Mahjong enthusiasts.

Starting in October, and continuing monthly!!

Evening Mahjong: First & Third Wednesdays | 6–8 PM
Daytime Mahjong: Second & Fourth Tuesdays | 10 AM–12:30 PM

📚 Introducing Beyond the Book: A Community Reading Journey!

Marshall Public Library is thrilled to launch our inaugural community reading series—and we’re kicking things off with Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann.

Free copies are available now at the library! We have the original edition for adults, along with the Young Readers Edition for teens and young adults.

Books are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, so stop by and pick up your copy while supplies last!

And the book is only the beginning. Stay tuned as we announce upcoming Beyond the Book programs that will give our community opportunities to explore the history, people, and stories behind the book together.
