Thanks to You, We Maximized our Matching Donations!

In early June, we received a pledge to match all donations up to $6400 from June 4-7. You came through! We raised over $12,800 for the bunnies. That will carry us through the next month of operating expenses and some is going to the Spay Neuter Fund, too. We're grateful for all your support, and promise to do our best to stretch your donation $$ as far as they can go.

In 2019, Harper arrived at a local animal shelter with multiple wounds on her back and body. Her tail was bitten off 😭. She was adopted that same year, but returned at 7 years old, in 2026.

When we saw that she was back in the shelter, we sent a volunteer to get her out asap. At the same time--because we have no spare foster homes right now--we reached out to some wonderful humans who had a lonely widowed bun. They took Harper home today and will see how the bunnies like each other. They also have another girlbun, so until one of them bonds, we will list her on our website at www.larabbits.org/rabbits/harper "pending bonding" and see how it goes. The main thing is that she's safe now and will never see the inside of a cage again.

Tail or no tail, we think she's lovely.

Thank you to her humans for giving Harper another chance at a happy life 💕
