Candlelight Ranch provides educational and nature-based experiences for families and children of all-abilities and needs to learn, explore and heal.

Candlelight Ranch provides 40+ acres of nature exploration and outdoor fun for special needs and at-risk youth. Here, kids can play, learn about, and care for nature. The Ranch is a 501(c)(3) organization and partners with other non-profit organizations to provide opportunities for children to enjoy outdoor retreats and camp-outs.

What a beautiful morning at Candlelight Ranch as our staff, interns, and incredible volunteers came together for zipline refresher training ahead of a busy summer season! ☀️🌿

Safety, teamwork, and preparation are such an important part of creating the magic that happens on our High Ropes Course for the children and families we serve throughout the year. We are so grateful for every volunteer and team member who helps make these meaningful outdoor experiences possible!

Adrian — congratulations on 5 incredible years at Candlelight Ranch! Your leadership, creativity, and dedication to our mission have touched countless lives over the years. From Outdoor Explorers and kayaking to the high ropes course and nature programming, you bring energy, encouragement, and joy to every experience you lead. The children and families we serve — and all of us at CLR — are so fortunate to have you. Thank you for all you do and for the many ways you continue to strengthen our team and programs year after year.

Joey — thank you for a wonderful first year as Program Coordinator! Your knowledge and passion for plants and nature education bring so much life and curiosity to our programs. Beyond that, your kindness, enthusiasm, and ability to connect with children and families make such a meaningful impact on everyone who visits the Ranch. We are incredibly lucky to have you on our team and are so thankful for the care and positivity you bring each day.

Jason — thank you for an amazing first year as our Ranch Manager. From maintaining our facilities and caring for the property to making sure the Ranch runs smoothly behind the scenes, your steady dedication helps create a safe, welcoming, and well cared for space for every child and family who visits Candlelight Ranch. Your hard work often happens quietly in the background, but it makes an enormous impact on our mission every single day.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the families who continue to carry that sacrifice every day. 🇺🇸

Serving Military families through nature, connection, and healing is one of the most meaningful parts of Candlelight Ranch’s mission. We are forever grateful for those who have served, sacrificed, and protected our freedom. ❤️

Today, our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in a half-day skilled volunteer session through Amazon’s Global Month of Volunteering at their Austin headquarters alongside 13 other local nonprofits selected for this experience.

We were honored to work with an amazing team of employees who helped strengthen our internal capacity through CRM management support and strategy. In just a few short hours, we accomplished so much thanks to the compassion, expertise, and generosity of these talented volunteers.

It was truly inspiring to spend the day surrounded by organizations and individuals who care so deeply about investing in and uplifting our local community.

Thank you again to Amazon and Whole Foods for creating opportunities like this and for supporting the work of nonprofits across Central Texas! 💚

Huge thank you to the Central Texas Trail Tamers for spending the day at the Ranch helping maintain and improve our Tamers Trail leading into our beautiful canyon areas.

For more than 20 years, their dedication and hard work have helped keep our trails safe, beautiful, and accessible for the children and families we serve. We are so grateful for community partners who continue to help create spaces where connection, adventure, and healing can happen in nature. 🌿💚

After serving three dedicated years as Board President of Candlelight Ranch, Paul’s unwavering heart, vision, and leadership have helped carry this mission forward in extraordinary ways. His commitment to serving children and families across Central Texas has left a lasting impact on this organization, our community, and every life touched at the Ranch.

The truth is …missions like ours don’t move forward without people willing to step up, lead, serve, and believe in something bigger than themselves. We are endlessly grateful for Paul and every board member who gives their time, talent, and heart to this work.
