Candlelight Ranch Candlelight Ranch provides educational and nature-based experiences for families and children of all-abilities and needs to learn, explore and heal.

Candlelight Ranch provides 40+ acres of nature exploration and outdoor fun for special needs and at-risk youth. Here, kids can play, learn about, and care for nature. The Ranch is a 501(c)(3) organization and partners with other non-profit organizations to provide opportunities for children to enjoy outdoor retreats and camp-outs.

In 2002, the Travis Hamner Pavilion became a cornerstone of Candlelight Ranch…a place where countless children, families, volunteers, and community partners have gathered to connect, learn, and grow.

More than two decades later, it remains one of the most beloved spaces on the ranch. From sharing meals and meaningful conversations to launching adventures and creating memories, the pavilion continues to bring people together. And somehow, even on the hottest Texas days, there’s always a breeze.

Named in honor of Travis Hamner, this special place stands as a lasting legacy of generosity, community, and family.

One weekend. Two programs. Countless moments of connection. 💚🌿

This weekend, Candlelight Ranch welcomed families through our Families in Nature & Military Families in Nature programs, creating opportunities for adventure, healing, and meaningful time together outdoors.

A special thank you to Nobility in Action & to Manny and the crew at 2020marketgtx for providing incredible meals and for helping nourish our families and sharing the importance of healthy food and where it comes from.

Thank you to PVA Texas Chapter & Hyundai of Leander for supporting our Military Families in Nature program and helping make these experiences possible.

We’re also grateful to Come And Hike It & Inspiring Access for helping capture these special moments and sharing the stories that further our mission.

Community and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do!💪🧡

With fresh rain, blooming landscapes, and the magic of Mother Nature all around us, the ranch was the perfect place to connect, explore, and grow🌻

We’re thrilled to have Calvin, Holly, and Maile joining the Candlelight Ranch team this summer. Their enthusiasm for serving children and families in nature is inspiring!

Fun fact: 3 of our 9 current staff members started as interns. Once people fall in love with the ranch, they tend to stick around. 💚

Today was all about courage, connection, and growth.

This amazing Life Teen group spent the day challenging themselves, cheering each other on, and embracing new adventures…from the zip line to the pamper pole and everything in between. Surrounded by nature, they discovered that confidence grows when we step beyond our comfort zones and trust in ourselves and each other.
