We just wanted to share more about princess Kehlani who is courageously fighting cancer. Please take a moment and read about how much of a warrior this babygirl has been at such a young age! Meet Kehlani, a 7 month old warrior princess with incredible strength. 💛
On December 29th, 2025, Kehlani suffered a stroke. Further scans revealed a brain tumor and hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain). She had a shunt placed to relieve the pressure, and on December 31st, she underwent surgery where doctors were able to remove 90% of the tumor. On January 5th, 2026, a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis: ATRT, a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Just a couple of weeks later, on January 20th, Kehlani began her first round of chemotherapy, which she completed on February 7th🌟
On February 25th, she faced another challenge when complications with her shunt led to seizures and a brain bleed. But through it all, Kehlani continues to fight. There has been hope along the way as on March 6th, doctors confirmed that the chemotherapy is working and the tumor has not grown. She underwent her first stem cell transplant on March 16th, with each hospital stay lasting 3–6 weeks. Her next transplant is scheduled for April 13th, with one more to follow, making three in total for now. The hope is that by mid June, Kehlani may finally be able to come home. 🏡
Because of the stroke, Kehlani has a “lazy eye” and a partial smile caused by brain injury, but her mom is already exploring options like glasses to help support her vision. 💕 This is Kehlani’s journey: 💕
“Hi there, as of 12/29 we found out Kehlani had a stroke & a tumor. we got rushed to university hospital near us. we found out she has Hydrocephalus, Brain tumor which was identified as ATRT Brain cancer.. recently she had problems with her shunt causing seizures, and a brain bleed.. she had 90% of her tumor removed but it grows fast and aggressive.. so far no progression on the tumor growing. Lots of appointments. Lots of time away from Mom, Dad, and Brother & Sister.. We are awaiting stem cell transplants. those stays after each is 3-6 weeks.. we have other kiddos at home, they have not been adjusting well since Kehlani has been gone. they both miss her being home so much.. and the older kiddos and Kehlani having so many appointments makes us lose out on hours for our one income. we appreciate anyone who helps us and sends love. Anything that’s sent will go for the kiddos appointments, making extra memories, anything Kehlani might need, or if any medicines arent covered ,or need copays, or just extra little things to keep the kids in good spirits during the roughest part of our lives.
