Do you know anyone that collects heart rocks?

I used to collect them on the beach, and then I started giving them away to people who looked like they were having a bad day.

It was so fun and I had some really wonderful experiences.

When I ran out of naturally-shaped hearts, I started making my own with a tile saw.

5 Fun Facts about my hearts:

🧡🪨 I started making them in 2019 using a 4.5 inch tile saw and a small rock tumbler. I’ve personally spent nearly 10k hours making around 28k of them.
🧡🪨Depending on how soft or hard the stone is, it takes between 10 and 30 minutes to cut and shape one heart. Then about a month in the rock tumbler to polish.
🧡🪨 My goal is to make and share 1M by Nov 2029, and I just got my halfway point! Obviously, there’s no way I can do this by myself, it takes many hands to make the hearts, and many many more to share them!
🧡🪨 I currently have over 20,000 hearts in the garage. I’m gonna put them together as kindness kits and make them available on my website, and give away thousands of them over the next few weeks through my giveaways.
🧡🪨INFJ, Slytherin, new dad, 36, and love a good sunset! No, I do not wish to be an influencer or be famous. It’s fun watching my social media following grow so much, I love that it’s a community of kind folks and kindred spirits!

I basically make an Easter egg-likehunt—but with my handmade stone hearts.

If there is even the tiniest chance it could help one person, I believe it is worth all the effort.

If you want to go look for them, this trail is in Spanish Fork, Utah, United States. I start at Canyon View Park, cross the two bridges, then head 1.44 miles east to Poplar Ln. That’s my main hiding area.

Just fyi, a lot of people are looking for them now that the word has gotten out, so it’s bon become increasingly harder to find one. That makes it much more special when you do!

Please be considerate of others and only take what you need.

If you see me on the path, be sure to say hi—it’ll make my day!

In 2019, after a loved one ended their life, I had this crazy idea, that if I could make enough hearts, maybe someday someone would use one to save someone’s life.

I never imagined that I was starting a global kindness movement.

Nearly 7 years later, I just handed out my 500,000th handmade heart.

I’m aware of 136 instances where my hearts have been used to save lives.

Making, hiding, and handing out hearts has changed my life for the better in all of the best ways!

I’m so grateful that I started doing this instead of wallowing in my sorrow.

Thank you for being here! It takes many hands to make these hearts, and many, MANY more to thoughtfully, lovingly, compassionately, and kindly share them.

I heard a local youth group was coming to walk the trail to hopefully find some of my hidden hearts this evening.

So 15 minutes before their activity, I hit the trail and hit a whole bunch of hearts so that they can find them!

This was so fun!

I love the idea that they might keep it their whole life, and I hope every time they see it they remember the magic of finding them, and then it also reminds them that they are amazing and the world is a better place because they are in it!

5 Fun Facts:

🧡 I just shared my 500,000th handmade stone heart!

🧡 I started making hearts in 2019 after a loved one ended their life. Since then, I’m aware of 136 instances where they’ve been used to save a life.

🧡 The rainbow hearts are a white stone that I paint with dye before I put them in my rock tumbler to polish them.

🧡 It takes about 10-30 minutes to carve a palm-sized stone into a heart, and about a month to tumble it to a nice polished finish.

🧡 My goal is to make and share 1M hearts by the 10-year anniversary of my loved one’s passing, Nov 2029. My kindness movement is quickly gaining speed and I’m SO excited! I think I might have a shot at actually reaching my goal!

I’m so grateful that you are here! I wish I could reach through the screen and hand you a heart to remind you for the rest of your life that YOU are amazing and that the world is a better place because YOU are in it! 🧡🪨

That was so fun! I’m excited to go out again tomorrow and check my hiding places!

I started making stone hearts in 2019 so that I could hide, handout, and share at least 10 every day. I figure, if I can make enough, maybe someday someone will use one to save someone’s life.

Today I gave away my 500,000 heart! It’s enough hearts to fill your entire house, floor to ceiling!

If you’d like to come and find some, this is the Spanish Fork River Trail, between Poplar Lane, and Canyon view Park in Spanish Fork, Utah. I hide between 10 and 50 hearts here almost every day.

If you do go looking for hearts, please only take what you need, so that as many people as possible can find hearts too.

And when you do find one, I hope you’ll keep it your whole life as a little reminder that this world is a better place because you are in it!

The world needs more of this right now.

They’ve seen and heard me making hearts, and this isn’t the first time, so they’ll know it’s me. I think that’s part of the fun!

This morning, I did my 187th school assembly and gave 700 free hearts to elementary school students! Then DAVEY and I hit the trail and hid 20 more. 🧡

That’s 720 hearts in one day, and I thought… how fun would it be to make it an even 1,000?!

So I’m giving 10 free hearts to 28 people! All you have to cover is the shipping. Keep some, pass some along, and spread a little love and kindness with the people around you. 🥰 I expect these to go pretty quickly, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

I’m hoping to hit that 500,000 milestone sometime this month! 🥳 It’s halfway to my 1M goal by Nov 2029!
