Lots of people have been asking about The Mountain Back 2 School Bash, and we are so excited for this year’s event!

Last year, because of incredible community support, we were able to serve 2,000 students with backpacks and school supplies and support 170 teachers with shoes. In addition, we were able to provide many students with brand-new shoes and clothing as they prepared for the school year. This year marks our 10th Back 2 School Bash, and we are honored to continue loving on students and families in our community.

If your business would like to sponsor, we would love to partner with you! Sponsorship opportunities are available, and every donation helps provide backpacks, school supplies, quality shoes, and clothing for local students.

Our clothing team met, and we are officially accepting clothing donations starting Monday, June 8th for both locations at The Church on MastersRoad, 6911 Masters Rd. in Manvel. If your church, business, or organization would like to host a collection drive for quality backpacks, clothing, or shoes, we can also provide a donation drop box for you.

This year, we are really trying to level up our clothing and shoe outreach because dignity matters. Every student deserves to walk into the school year feeling confident, cared for, and supported, and we cannot do it without you.

✂️ CALLING ALL BARBERS & HAIRSTYLISTS

We are looking for generous barbers and hairstylists to help students across Pearland, Manvel, Iowa Colony, Rosharon, Danbury, and beyond head back to school with confidence.

We are collecting donated haircuts to bless local students before the new school year begins. These haircut vouchers/services will be given out on August 1st during our Back 2 School outreach.

A fresh haircut may seem small, but for a student, it can mean confidence, dignity, and feeling ready to walk into school proud of who they are.

👕📚 Help Us Get Students Ready for the School Year! 📚👕

We are collecting quality clothing donations for students in PreK–12th grade for our Back 2 School Bash!

Each student will have the opportunity to shop and pick out up to 8 clothing items while supplies last. Help us create the best thrifting experience possible for our students by donating gently used, quality clothes.

Please make sure donations are:

✔️ In good condition
✔️ Free of holes and stains

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice gave us freedoms we often take for granted, and we are forever grateful.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the fallen, pray for their families, and thank God for the courage of those who served with honor. May we never forget the cost of freedom. 🇺🇸

Diaper Day families!

Tonight we are submitting our grant report to the Moody Foundation, whose generosity has helped provide car seats, pallet shelving, and more than 80,000 diapers and pull-ups to families in our community from June of last year until now.

Shout out to the incredible volunteers who came out tonight to pack rice & beans for our community!

Together, we packaged over 600 pounds of rice and beans that will help fight food insecurity and serve families in need throughout our community.

A special shout out to Lori & Scott for hosting tonight. Sometimes God knows exactly what you need, and He sends you a Lori & Scott. We are so grateful for your hearts, generosity, and encouragement.

Also, a HUGE thank you to Richard Arriaga for coming out tonight. Most people will never fully know how many hours he pours into serving this community week after week. We are incredibly thankful for his dedication, leadership, and servant’s heart.

Loving Jesus, serving others, fellowship, and sweet treats. It truly doesn’t get much better than that!

Tonight is the night!

Lori and Scott Golinghurst are hosting Rice & Beans Night, and we would love for you to join us as we serve our community together.

This is a simple but powerful way to fight food insecurity right here in our community. Volunteers will help package rice and beans that will go directly to families in need through The Mountain Food Bank and The Well.

Every bag packed represents meals, hope, and people being cared for.
